Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Price.
Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my career in the beauty industry straight out of high school by enrolling in cosmetology school. Wanting to better understand the business side of beauty, I went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship and marketing. In 2020, I took a major step by becoming an independent stylist and opening my own suite, which allowed me to build my brand and clientele on my own terms. I’m now transitioning into the aesthetics space, focusing on injectables like Botox and expanding into advanced treatments, with the goal of helping clients feel confident through both beauty and wellness.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes, absolutely. One of my biggest struggles was being laid off from a salon I believed was my long-term home early in my career. With only about six months of experience at the time, it was difficult to find another salon willing to take me on, which pushed me to find my own path. Another challenge has been balancing business ownership with personal life. As an independent stylist and business owner, every part of the business falls on me — from client care and scheduling to marketing and finances. There are times when personal challenges don’t pause just because you’re an owner, but I’ve learned the importance of discipline, boundaries, and consistency. No matter what’s happening behind the scenes, I always show up fully for my clients, and that commitment has been a major part of my growth and success.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a licensed hairstylist based in Frisco, Texas, specializing in lived-in color, layered cuts, and extensions. I’m known for creating custom services that fit each client’s lifestyle, with a focus on hair health, realistic maintenance, and long-term results.
What sets me apart is my commitment to ongoing education in the beauty industry. In addition to hair, I work under medical supervision in aesthetic injectables, including Botox and GLP-1, allowing me to offer a more holistic, confidence-focused approach to beauty. I’m most proud of building my business independently and evolving my career with intention, integrity, and a focus on overall well-being.
What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t measured by money or titles—it’s about growth and impact. I define success as being able to do what I love every day, creating a life of freedom, and using my gifts to serve others. It’s seeing the confidence on a client’s face after their appointment, or realizing how far I’ve come since starting out with no plan and building my way into salon ownership. Success is living in alignment with my purpose, continuing to grow, and creating opportunities not just for myself but for others along the way.
