Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Rogers.
Hi Taylor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My story roots from when I was a little girl. I’ve always wanted to model; it’s been my biggest dream. Once I found the opportunity to be able to learn about the industry, I talked with my mom, and she was happy to support me. (HUGE thanks to Bella Modeling School for teaching me!) Now here I am 5 months later, in my last couple weeks of modeling class. I’m excited to see where the future will take me and how far I’ll go. None of this would be possible without my amazing mom and Bella Modeling School + all their instructors.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road. There’s times where I just felt like quitting because I wouldn’t get picked for castings, I didn’t fit certain requirements for events, etc. Those are just a few of the struggles. I do still struggle with getting upset if I don’t get picked for something, but that’s part of the industry. To be in the entertainment industry, I HAVE to have thick skin, otherwise, I will get nowhere. I’m not going to book everything I audition for, but that doesn’t mean I stop trying and give up.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a model! I am focusing on specializing in runway. Most people know me due to modeling. Modeling is my whole world, and I cannot wait to be able to travel and live my best life while doing the thing I love most. I am most proud of myself for not giving up since that is something I tend to struggle with. I have felt like giving up numerous times, but there is always that voice in the back of my head telling me, “You could become a famous runway model, you could travel the world and be in different fashion weeks.” That keeps me going, and my mom keeps me going. I talk about her a lot because she deserves the recognition. None of this would be possible without her. I think what sets me apart from others is how committed I am. I am willing to pretty much anything for modeling, as I want it to be my full-time career. I always watch different fashion weeks, keep up with styles, and so much more. I am dedicated to modeling with my everything.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like most about our city is the diversity. I like being able to learn about different cultures and different things people are into. I find it exciting and pretty cool to just talk about. I also love the restaurants and hidden gems that I can go to. There has never been a day where there’s nothing to do. I don’t think there’s anything I don’t really like about the Plano area, except maybe for all the trash everywhere. But hey, that’s something you’ll see everywhere.
