

Today we’d like to introduce you to Te’ja Foy
Hi Te’ja, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my fitness journey in 2019, unsatisfied with my physique after 9 years as a track and field athlete. After failed attempts at trying influencer workout programs and random gym workouts from TikTok, I decided to take my fitness journey seriously and became a certified personal trainer through NASM in 2020. Once I was certified, I began creating and testing my own workout programs while learning more about muscle growth and how a woman’s menstrual cycle can affect her workouts. With this knowledge, I’ve trained myself and other woman to build the body of their dreams through sustainable workouts, wellness regimes and meal ideas + recipes.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Through the years I have experienced my share of obstacles. From living through Covid and adapting workouts to be home based to consuming food and supplements that were bad for my gut health. I’ve learned that the more knowledge and experience we gain, the faster we are able to reach our goals.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My goal as a women’s fitness coach is to teach women how to change their physique through sustainable and smart training as well as being aware of different foods and herbs that will help them be successful in reaching their fitness goals. I teach women to prioritize their glute strength while being mindful of the things they are consuming for nourishment. Recomposition of your body is hard work however, the results you experience last a lifetime and positively affect the overall quality of life.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I have learned during my journey is to be yourself and trust your intuition. Knowing what works best for your unique body is a superpower that will grow your confidence. Having that knowledge and sharing it with others is what keeps us connected as a community and brings awareness to the benefits of physical health and mental wellness.
