Today we’d like to introduce you to Teresa Ngene.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
“Honestly, my journey really began with my own faith walk. When I learned about the Holy Spirit and experienced how it transformed my life — the way I thought, spoke, and acted — everything changed. I was actually working in the business field at the time, but I felt led to switch to education. I’ve always loved learning and helping others overcome challenges, so the transition made sense.
Through my church ministry, I spent years working with youth and saw the same question come up again and again: ‘Now that I’m born again, what’s next?’ That question stuck with me — because growing in faith doesn’t stop at salvation. That’s really how GrowtheXperience, or gX, started. It’s all about helping people — especially kids and families — keep growing spiritually and academically.
As a teacher, I wanted to make resources that families could use at home to build faith together. Sometimes parents just don’t know where to start or what to say, and I wanted to fill that gap. So I began creating simple, hands-on materials that make it easier to have those conversations and grow closer to God together. My heart has always been to help people grow into the best version of themselves — through learning, faith, and experience.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When you’re walking in purpose, there are always ups and downs. Leaving the business world for education was a big leap of faith for me, and later stepping out to start GrowtheXperience came with its own learning curve.
There were moments when I wondered if people would really get what I was trying to do — mixing faith, creativity, and education isn’t something you see every day. And honestly, balancing a full-time job, ministry, and building a brand has taken a lot of patience, late nights, and prayer.
But through all of that, God’s been faithful. Every challenge has taught me something — how to trust His timing, stay consistent, and keep creating even when it’s hard. Growth doesn’t happen in comfort; it happens through experience — and that’s exactly what GrowtheXperience is all about.”
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
“In my professional life, I wear a few hats — I’m an educator, curriculum designer, and creator of faith-based resources. Through my company, GrowtheXperience, I specialize in helping children, youth, and families grow both academically and spiritually. I design hands-on tools like Bible study kits, memory verse boards, games, and devotionals that make faith interactive and practical.
I think what sets me apart is how I blend education and ministry. I take the structure and creativity from my years in the classroom and merge it with Biblical truth so learning becomes something people can live out, not just read about.
What I’m most proud of is seeing people actually use what I create — when parents tell me a resource helped them start family devotions, or a child remembers scripture through one of my games, that’s everything to me. It reminds me that what I do isn’t just about products; it’s about impact, growth, and helping others build real connection with God in their everyday life.”
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
“Most people are surprised to find out that I actually started out in business, not education or ministry! I thought I’d spend my career in the corporate world until God completely changed my direction — and I’m so glad He did.
Something else people don’t always know is that I absolutely love crafting and designing things by hand. Whether it’s creating keychains, assembling board kits, or picking the perfect packaging, I’m in my happy place when I’m creating. I also have a serious love for notebooks and colorful pens — I can never have too many! It’s those little creative moments that keep me inspired and remind me why I love what I do.”
