Today we’d like to introduce you to THE ABYSS.
Hi THE, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well I’ve been playing a lil too long. My fingers hurt rn. Well a basically I play music to get by; and now I play for others to get by.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Hell no most of it was dealt with while homeless. I used to wake up behind the same buildings I would play in front of. For as long as I can remember it’s been me and this guitar… I’ve seen a lot out there I left home at 16 or 17. I’m 29 going on 50 now.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well for about Decade I’ve been known as “THE ABYSS” I’ve been known for The saddest songs you could possibly come up with. Idk man I think what sets me apart is, I didn’t care if the next person sings or plays better you’ll never outpassion me in this creative space. In my voice you can hear the hunger of a Nation. I am but a vessel everyone I open my mouth I’m not even there. Im being used for my purpose.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Belief in myself. Has brought me really far… I think I’ma stuck with that
