Today we’d like to introduce you to Tikisha Johnson.
Tikisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started with a love for fashion and a deep belief that style should be accessible, empowering, and personal. What began as thrifting for myself and family quickly turned into styling others, curating unique pieces, and helping women see their confidence differently when they looked in the mirror.
Over the years, I turned that passion into a business by blending creativity, resourcefulness, and vision. I learned how to spot quality, transform everyday finds into statement looks, and build brands rooted in confidence, faith, and self-expression. Along the way, I balanced entrepreneurship, family, and growth—learning lessons through trial, resilience, and consistency.
Today, I’m proud to have built a platform that goes beyond clothing. My work centers on empowering women to own their style, honor their worth, and realize that you don’t have to spend a lot to show up boldly. Every step of the journey has shaped who I am now—and I’m still building, evolving, and dreaming bigger than ever.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey came with real challenges: learning as I went, making mistakes, wearing every hat, and pushing forward even when resources were limited. There were moments of self-doubt, slow seasons, and times when it felt like I was pouring into the vision without seeing immediate returns. Balancing entrepreneurship, family, and personal growth wasn’t easy, and I had to build resilience while finding my voice and confidence as a business owner.
But those struggles became my foundation. They taught me discipline, adaptability, and faith in the process. Every setback sharpened my vision and strengthened my commitment. Looking back, the challenges didn’t stop the journey—they shaped it, refined it, and prepared me for where I am today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work lives at the intersection of fashion, confidence, and creativity. I’m a stylist, curator, and creative director who specializes in transforming thrifted and everyday pieces into elevated, intentional looks.
I’m known for my eye: spotting quality, mixing textures and patterns, and creating looks that feel bold, polished, and personal without requiring a big budget. Thrifting and upcycling are at the core of what I do,
What I’m most proud of is building something from vision and grit—turning a personal passion into a platform that inspires, I transformed thrifting into a platform recognized by Vogue and other magazines, producing fashion shows rooted entirely in thrifted fashion. From the thrift store to the runway show.
What sets me apart is that I don’t follow trends—I create from vision. I think outside the box, transforming what others overlook or discard into intentional, elevated pieces. I’m not interested in blending in or replicating what’s already been done; I’m committed to carving my own lane. Through what I wear and create, my goal is to inspire and encourage others to see possibility, beauty, and value where they once saw none.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters to me is authenticity, confidence, and creating from purpose—not comparison. Because when people stop chasing what everyone else is doing and start honoring who they truly are, they show up more boldly, more creatively, and more powerfully. I try too move with intention, knowing that purpose—not trends or approval—is what really creates lasting impact.
