Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Forte.
Tim, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Suffered a lower back injury in 2006. At the time I was deconditioned. Worked a lot of hours but didn’t really consistently take care of myself physically. After a couple of injections they told me I needed surgery. Instead I rehab my own back and that led me down this path. I had a career in management with different companies like hotels.com and Geico but even though I thrived in those environments something was missing. The back injury led me to the career I have now. It made us such a huge difference in my life and I thought wow I can be a catalyst for change with others who need me. It’s one of those crossroads in your life where you finally start to pay attention that when something seems like the worst thing that could have possibly happen actually a blessing in disguise. This deeper realization has changed how I live my life till this day and has led me on an amazing journey spiritually. Life is really about perspective. How we view things. Our mindset. I went to fitness School became nationally certified. My first job was at gold’s gym and valley ranch. All my life I’ve been driven to succeed. Gold’s gym was no different. Within 3 months I was the busiest trainer they’ve had in years. Approximately 30 sessions per week. With the manager told me who is now my friend was that I had a gift of attracting people. People would see me watch me in the gym and see me engaged with my clients and there was a certain energy. The rest of my career over the past 12 or 13 years that’s continued to be so. I quit gold’s gym shortly because I knew to make money I would have to start my own business. So I struggled and for four straight months almost lost everything. I purposely stayed single. Spent a lot of time out in nature and just looking up every detail on how to start and grow and in home training business. Those first 4 months of almost losing everything I would get down to the last 30 days about to be kicked out of my apartment with bills due but instead of stressing I focused on a very strong gratitude practice that I keep till this day. During this time I was also changing my life. Weeding out my garden of toxic people. Spending time in nature with my dog baby saying affirmations out loud to the universe. But every night I would go to bed and say five things I’m grateful for out loud with all my heart holding my dog. You see us the high level of motion with the clear intention that makes gratitude practice special. I would even be grateful for what I haven’t even received yet like I had already. Each one of those months I would wake up the next day with the email or text message from a potential client paying me for 3 months in advance which kept me going. After that everything just clicked. I will have to count again but I believe I’ve trained over 20,000 sessions so far. Averaging between 35 and 58 sessions per week. Most of my clients stay with me for many years. Some are still with me after 8 to 10 years. It’s been a blessing the connections that I have made. I have pushed forward with wellness coaching and mindset coaching. Working on bigger ways to help people in the future with the gifts that God has given me through rough times of my life. Transformation and true growth spiritually, physically and mentally.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building my fitness business over the past 13 years I have certainly been blessed. Waking up each and every day grateful for the clients I have and the clients that I will have one day. This approach in mindset has made my journey far easier and successful than most in this town. Maybe some obstacles were just learning on the go. Not to get tangled up with wishy-washy clients but attract the ones that align with me. I believe the energy that we put out in the world attracts like energy to us. That’s been my biggest marketing piece. Spiritual marketing. Because I keep my clients for many years some as long as 8 just keeping up with the variety and planning.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love watching my clients achieve better quality of life. Watching them achieve results. Watching them overcome things they never thought they could. For example like a 65-year-old playing with their grandchildren because now they have energy and not worrying about or hurt back.
I like to inspire transformation. Mine, body and spirit.
Dislikes
When my clients aren’t honest with myself or themselves. Negative mindsets.
