Hi Tovah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Following my divorce, I decided it was time to do something for myself. I was never much of a jewelry person, but I loved making other women, and yes, even men, happy. Watching them choose their product, either individually or as matching memories, I enjoyed the smiles and excitement they shared when creating this moment. These permanent pieces serve as an experience, a story, a lifetime memory. What once was a novelty became a successful and rewarding hobby! That’s what led me to begin my Trendy Teacher journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
All small businesses experience struggles: inventory costs, finding events, building a clientele. Overcoming those struggles and experiencing the moment when tides turn provides the greatest highs and motivation for continued success. Success only comes from small failures and struggles. The reward is learning from them and using it to grow your business.

Permanent Jewelry is not my sole income, however it does provide for those wants and at times…needs. By day, I am a Literacy Instructional Coach in a Title I elementary school. I get to support teachers with literacy instruction, data, best practices, and becoming the best for our students. It’s the best job as I get to see the results of hard work and dedication to student achievement.
What does success mean to you?
Success comes from failure. We must experience the challenges and productive struggle in order to become successful. It can be painful, but when you are successful after much trial, the rewards far outweigh the challenges.
