Check Out Traliece’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Traliece

Hi Traliece, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a musician began early as I was growing up New Orleans, LA. I come from a very musical city and also from a family of musicians so music is literally in my blood. I started of with the esteemed New Orleans Youth Symphony Orchestra and as years went on lead to performances with the Red River Valley Symphony Orchestra in Virginia and the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra in Texas. Now I perform at private events and on various worship teams. It was also during this time that I have also recognized that I have a talent for singing as well and am now a singer as well as a violinist.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggled a lot with having low self-esteem as a child. I was bullied a lot growing up which led to battles with depression and unfortunately suicidal ideation. So the battle for having a healthy view of self was enormously. Also, on some level I always knew I was different in some ways but, it was until I gave my life to Jesus it was then I learned how to truly like and love myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a singer/violinist, I specialize in being a recording artist but, also a studio musician for other artists as a background singer and/or violinist. I’m also a songwriter as well. I have released 4 singles with one of them, “Forever Love” reaching 250,000 streams on Spotify. However, what I am most proud of was when I was thanked by women whom were survivors of human trafficking telling me how my music inspired them and helped them.

How do you define success?
Success for me is defined by having peace and joy in whatever circumstances I find myself in. Also, it is important to me to hear the words “Well done My good and faithful servant” from the god that I serve.
