Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Seabrooks.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Victoria Seabrooks, Professional Commercial Print Model, Actress, and Founder of Model Insider!
Started modeling in San Antonio, Texas, with the Lari Nelson Agency, then signed with Kim Dawson and started with bigger-name brands like Neiman Marcus, Last Call, JCP, Fossil, Lays Potato Chips. After 7 months, I met/signed with my NY agency New York Model Management, and moved to NYC. After a short period of time, I signed with LA Models and two talent agencies, CESD NY and LA Talent. I’ve worked with main brands like Nike, CoverGirl, Estée Lauder, Spanx, Gabriella Hearst, and just booked my first TV episode for Law & Order as Hannah Grey for Season 22 Episode 14 called Heros. With the experience I’ve gained being in the industry and lack of guidance, there is, I started my own Organization to help models maximize their full potential in the industry called Model Insider with the core of it being the Talk Show which will be launching soon on YouTube!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a challenge Mentally, Physically, and spiritually trying to find my path in this industry, but it has made me who I am today, and I’m blessed to have gone through all the ups and downs it brings! Whether it’s staying in shape, learning how to handle my finances, figuring out my image, what I represent, where my boundaries are, communicating with my agents, clients, and peers, and discovering what I want for myself from this industry.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional Commercial print model, actress, and Founder of Model Insider.
I’m based in NYC but work bicoastal! I just guest starred in Law & Order Season 22 Ep. 14 Hero’s as Hannah Grey. I’ve been in Estée Lauder and Kohl’s Commercials. I’ve models for Nike, Spanx, Fossil, Neiman Marcus, CoverGirl, Martina Bridal, Burlington, Kohl’s, JCP, Esika, Sketchers, etc. I’ve been living in NYC for 5 years. I recently Founded Model Insider to help models make the most out of the industry since there’s no guidance but a ton of opportunities that we miss out on. The core of the Organization is a Talk Show where I speak with Professionals in and outside of the fashion industry, such as Dermatologist, Entrepreneurs, Models, Photographers, clients, casting directors, Dentists…anyone who has the credentials and has information that’ll help models become more knowledgeable and increase their chances of having a successful career.
What sets me apart from other models would more than likely be my personality, the way I communicate with my agents, clients, and peers, mental having a different outlook on the industry and the genuine connection I work on building with those I come into contact with. I want us to see the positive in where we are and learn to help each other without envy. I’ve worked to only be concern with what’s in my control and not take anything too personally.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m still working to get out of my comfort zone (stop being shy) when it comes to social media. I’m an extrovert in person, and working on showing that more on social media.
