Check Out Zach Harden’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Harden

Hi Zach, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello my name is Zach Harden, I’ve been creating furniture pieces in North Texas for close to 10 years now. My goals are too connect with a wider audience across the country selling custom furniture pieces, pipes and saunas. When I was 19 and working at IKEA, there was an inkling in me to create furniture out of solid wood. Although my woodworking experience was slim to none I had some experience fabricating through my past welding jobs. At the time I was creating some metal projects such as firepits, rocket stoves and gun shooting stands. I first started combining metal legs with Home Depot dimensional lumber and soon began to make sales. Even though it was a slow build I was open to doing any project I could get my hands on for the experience. After a year of hiatus working in a sauna studio I came back swinging with a new shop and new designs. Transitioning from rustic designs made from pine lumbers to creating beautiful mid-century pieces from local hardwoods. Now my focus is on becoming a successful furniture designer store selling anything from rustic to modern furniture, saunas to cold plunges, and for fun on the side tobacco pipes. To all who read this and purchase my products thank you, I am honestly grateful and God bless!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
During 2021, there was a point where I needed to shut down business. I had to take out a loan to pay off clients, my work truck was repossessed and I could no longer fulfill services. I never stopped working on projects for myself focusing on my passion for woodworking as well everything that I lacked focus on during the height of my business kicking off.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I build and create furniture, wood pipes and eventually saunas. My personal furniture style is Mid-Century Western. While I am still in the designing process for this style. There have been a few pieces that truly align with the Mid- Century Western line I aim to create. Imagine the Alamo decorated with mid century themed furniture. This is my pride and joy. To have all things that I have created to bleed where I am from and how I’ve grown up. A taste of Texas to put it in short words.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Patient, Aggressive, Perseverance.
