Check Out Zaneta Roman’s Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Zaneta Roman.

Zaneta Roman

Hi Zaneta, I am so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been in the beauty industry for over 10 + years. I first got started as a self-taught freelancer and worked my way into the line of retail makeup. In doing so, I was able to work for major/luxury brands from Trish McEvoy to MAC Cosmetics.

Being part of multiple brands allowed me to educate myself on the diversity of complexions, and different beauty needs. I find that the biggest contribution to my standing success is constant evolution.

I know the more versed and diverse my skill set is, the more my business can be stretched in meeting the demands of every makeup scenario.

I’ve covered Grammy red carpets, Films/Photography, to your everyday needs of a beauty glam. I am currently a college instructor at the biggest Makeup School in Texas.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has absolutely not always been the easiest road as the true beginning of my career entailed me taking any work that would help me grow my skill set.

That sometimes meant taking low hourly pay or sometimes free gigs to build my portfolio. As a single mom of two children, it was certainly a rough journey choosing my passion over a safe 9-5 job.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a professional Artist and Educator of Makeup. While the majority of my work and business is beauty glam focused, I very much enjoy cosplay and special effects.

I’ve worked hard at building a solid rapport with the Dallas/Fort Worth circle of photographers. I take a lot of pride in my work and do my best to exhibit nothing short of a quality experience.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Treating people like the beautiful unique humans they are. Celebrity or not, I do makeup from a place of love and leave no room for ego.
