Today we’d like to introduce you to RBC Deep Ellum.
Great, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
RBC is coming in hot on six years in Deep Ellum, but our story is deeper than the time spent.
For a long time were known as an underground music venue with a love for dance club/themed nights. We’ve hosted everything from Hawthorne Heights and Emo Nite, to major hip-hop names like Chief Keef and Berner. We even got crowned the White Claw Capital of Dallas. It has been a GREAT year.
In April of 2019, we re-branded. We just loved our nights of packing the place out with a DJ running the vibe. So we did a remodel, added some booths, got an awesome in-house DJ, and started running nightclubs. We do have several music acts per month, but those are special evenings.
With private events, our new Boomah Bass Nights, Anime Parties, and special themed DJ’s, we stay incredibly busy.
We have our sights set on 2020 with more ladies’ nights, themed nights, and hosting that drinks and dance lifestyle while keeping RBC as underground as possible.
Our location gives us the coolest vibes. We have a lit walkway down a discreet path and we are tucked in a corner WITH a roof on the building that is ready for some Spring weather.
2020 is going to be Deep Ellum’s year again and we are so thrilled to be part of it.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has honestly been a pretty blessed six years. We work hard, play harder, and don’t piss off the landlords. Our location is so great and we are fortunate to be exactly where we are with the team we have. Deep Ellum is a roller coaster and we are along for the ride.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the RBC Deep Ellum story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a multi-function dance club with room for themed events.
We are different because all of us have been working in Deep Ellum for 10+ years. We came together and made a dream team staff.
We are probably most proud of what we have done in 2029. The remodel has been exceptional and everyone has loved the vibe. We were able to keep it Deep Ellum while turning up the vibe. We are very proud of the renovations.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Oh man. Lol. Deep Ellum will be on a high for a while. We have so many cool restaurants and bars coming in. Yes, it makes for more crowds, but we love the crowds. Punch Bowl went in next to us and they are awesome to have around. Ten years ago, that wouldn’t have worked, but the shift has gone to a far more eclectic type of people. Deep Ellum had something for everyone now. Patio weather, burgers, brunch, fancy dinners, rooftop drinking, bowling, comedy, tattoos, and so much more. We are thrilled so see so many new things come in.
