Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonya Morrison.
Hi Sonya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in 2012 making chocolate suckers, as gifts, for holidays. Since then, we have grown tremendously in what we offer. We now offer popcorn (strawberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, and banana pudding). I also make chocolate-covered oreos, chocolate-covered pretzels, and chocolate dipped apples. In 2018, I decided to add more items to our business for different occasions. Currently, I have over 20 items/services to offer. In addition to the products, I named previously I also plan parties. In 2019, I moved to Texas from Kansas City, now I am known best for making “party favors” such as baskets for every holiday, wine glasses, wine glass sets, budget binders, keychains, adult drinking games, and much more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely not been easy, especially since I just moved from Kansas City here to Arlington about a year and a half ago. Most of my family and friends are in Kansas City and business has been really tough moving here to Arlington. One, because most of my customers are in Kansas City and sometimes we’re not able to ship everything they are requesting. Two, I’m still trying to get my name out here in the great state of Texas. I know it won’t happen overnight but I am excited about what is going to happen in the future.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most known for my party favors. Once given a theme, my creative mind begins to overflow and I love being able to just create magic for all of my customers of all ages.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Integrity. I believe that you have to be honest with people. Way too many businesses get over on people.
