I am the founder of Bookeaz.com (Look Good Anywhere, Anytime).
I am an immigrant from India who came to Dallas with the dream of serving people. I always look for an opportunity to serve people, and I think the best way to serve people is by becoming an entrepreneur. That’s how my entrepreneurial journey started.
Dallas is a big city, and like any other big city, I quickly realized people in Dallas are very busy and don’t really have time to stand in lines at beauty salons, barbershops, nail salons, and massage parlors. They were wasting their precious time by waiting, leading to overall frustration when availing these services.
On the other hand, I also noticed beauticians, barbers, nail technicians, massage therapists and similar other cosmetology professionals struggling to achieve their American dream of becoming an entrepreneur or working flexible hours. Creating Bookeaz.com was killing two birds with one stone – serving people and helping cosmetology and other professionals attain their dream. Bookeaz.com is a platform where customers place a service request for required services and get matched with a service professional of their choice. Bookeaz.com provides immense flexibility by allowing professionals to accept or deny a service call, thus helping them earn money while not being in the salon full-time.
Regarding where have I reached today? I think my journey has just started, and I have a long way to go.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been easy. But when I moved here, I knew it was not going to be a cakewalk.
I believe in the quote of lord Krishna, “karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana”, which means, “Perform your duty but do not have any expectation of the fruits.” This way, I don’t burden myself with any expectations and avoid getting frustrated if I come across failures or rejections. So, I keep on doing my duty and don’t think of what I will get out of it.
I also get a lot of inspiration from my son, who is three (3) years old. It is amazing to see how these little humans keep improvising until they get it right, be it crawling, walking, or talking. I want to keep the same thinking and keep working on it until I get it right.
I went door to door at salons to bring service professionals on board. I got rejected several times. But, after a point, I got used to rejections, and I kept on improvising my work & Bookeaz.com platform. Finally, after persistent efforts for several months, I was able to add service professionals across different service lines. We currently have service professionals on Bookeaz.com platform who are willing and able to provide services within a 60-mile radius of central Dallas.
I believe if things happen your way, it’s good; if they don’t happen your way, it is even better because it is happening according to the wishes of divine force, and it will always be in your favor. I always believe everything comes to you at the right time.
