Community Highlights: Meet Alexandra Beswerchij of The Flower Atelier

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Beswerchij.

Hi Alexandra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Flower Atelier started as a simple idea and a love for creating beauty. I’ve always believed flowers can make ordinary moments feel special. I began in a little corner of my home with a few buckets of blooms and a lot of heart.

Over time, that small start grew into a floral design studio serving North Dallas. My background in marketing and hospitality helped me build something that feels personal and intentional. I wanted it to be more than just flowers. I wanted it to tell a story.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a straight path. One of the hardest parts has been learning how to balance business and family. I love being a mom of three and I love what I do, but managing both takes a lot of heart and energy.

My husband has been my biggest supporter from the start. He’s also had to live with the reality of flowers taking over every corner of our house. There were buckets in the kitchen, blooms in the hallway and petals trailing around like confetti. He’s a good sport and still manages to find somewhere to sit!

There were (and are still) plenty of long nights and steep learning curves. I had to figure things out as I went, from sourcing the best blooms to keeping up with a growing business. Every challenge made me stronger and pushed the brand forward.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Flower Atelier?
The Flower Atelier is a floral design studio creating thoughtful arrangements for everyday gifting, hospitality spaces and special events. We’re known for an elevated style that still feels warm and personal. Every detail matters, from the flowers we choose to how we present them.

What makes us different is the heart behind it all. I want every piece to make someone feel something. Whether it’s a single bouquet, a restaurant floral program or a big celebration, we approach it with the same level of care.

I’m proud of how the brand has grown and how people truly connect with it. We offer same day delivery, hospitality florals and custom event design across North Dallas and nearby areas.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to focus on getting 1% better every day. I first came across that idea from the culinary team at Georgie. They often shared behind the scenes moments on their Instagram, and it was so inspiring to see how much heart they poured into every detail. They pushed the boundaries with flavor, presentation and hospitality, and it showed in everything they created.

It reminded me how small, intentional steps can build something truly special. That mindset has guided me through every stage of my own business. It keeps me focused on growing with purpose and creating work that feels meaningful.
