Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis M..
Hi Alexis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story begins in Memphis, Tennessee a place I know & love as home. Home is where my family, foundation, education, work ethic, discipline, are all rooted. My earliest experience is working in the retail industry, in the tax industry, in the financial reimbursement industry and as a promotional and commercial model and actress. Post receiving my masters degree in marketing I entered into the corporate world in the quality assurance, pricing aspect of marketing where I learned contract & root cause analysis, interacting with stakeholders for a brand, work life balance, and determining intent with regards to pricing. I maximized every opportunity, learning experience, and benefit, in that chapter of my life. As I reflect today, I can see a direct line of how my foundation positioned me to do the very things I’m doing today as a full-time entrepreneur. Beginning with my retail experience my online boutique TRUE allows me to utilize everything I learned in that arena. I’m currently working with the number one tax team in the DFW metroplex Uptown Discovery Group where I specialize in individual and business taxes as well as state tax requirements and business formation documents. I work with multiple brands in the DFW metroplex to promote and create an overall brand experience at events and engagements. I genuinely love speaking with and educating consumers on the brands that I promote. I am also in the works on introducing TRUE Lifestyle Stays and Events to the DFW metroplex based here and I intend on branching out everywhere possible. Tune in for more on that.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has not been smooth. I’ve learned that life poses many challenges and obstacles on the way along your journey to success. It’s not the obstacle or the challenge that creates the biggest struggle. It is adjusting to the change. When things happen, you literally have to create a new way of being and in creating that you persevere and you keep going. At this very moment in my life, I’m confident I can make it through anything.
As you know, we’re big fans of TRUE.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My overall brand is name TRUE under which encompasses the boutique, positioning my community’s financial health, building wealth, and lifestyle stays & events. What sets me apart from others is that I’m in a business or in businesses that I love. I’m a natural helper of mankind. In fact that’s what my name Alexis means and I truly lived up to that almost to a fault at times, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything at all. Each experience has led me to exactly where I am and each experience in the future will lead me to where I’m going. I’m most proud that people can relate directly to the TRUE brand. Even when people see the anchor logo of the online store they recognize it’s spiritual and people relate to it. I want people to know the TRUE brand similar to us as people are not one dimensional. We have the ability to utilize all of our talents that we’re given or that we have and we should do so. TRUE is the umbrella like the individual is an umbrella that encompasses so many different qualities and talents and gifts that should be shared with the world and by leading by example I hope all will tap in to all of their gifts as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck doesn’t play a role in my life or business. I’m not lucky I’m blessed. I am covered by the most high and all of the angels around me. I don’t believe in coincidences or chance happenings only those things that are meant to be. That’s exactly what will be. I’m embracing this new chapter with all I’ve had to release to make room for all things truly destined for me.
