Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Banda.
Hi Ana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Real estate is my second career, but my passion for homeownership began at 25, when I was a single mother determined to buy my first home. After being told I would fail because I was “just a woman—and a Mexican woman at that,” I chose to prove otherwise. Being a Mexican woman meant working harder, echándole ganas, and never giving up.
More than 20 years later, I’m a licensed Realtor dedicated to empowering others to achieve homeownership and build generational wealth. My mission goes far beyond a transaction—I’m here to guide, encourage, and create lasting friendships. If this Mexican American single mother could do it, so can you. ¡Sí se puede!
Outside of real estate, I love to Travel, I do marketing and a proud Reader’s Choice Awards 2024 Nominee as a Social Media Influencer. I contribute monthly to Street Talk Magazine and Inspiration4Life, where I highlight community members and promote local small businesses. Supporting my community is at the heart of everything I do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Despite naysayers, including my own boss at the time of my home purchase and even close family through the years, I refused to let their doubts define me. It hasn’t been a smooth ride. The journey came with struggle, self-doubt, and obstacles, but also growth.
Only recently have I truly begun believing in myself, especially after learning about narcissism and the patterns that shaped how I viewed my worth. Understanding that is helping me break free from limiting beliefs and really step into my power.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am passionate about seeing others win. Maybe it comes from past trauma, but I’ve always found joy in shining the light on others. That’s why I write, why I highlight small businesses, and why I champion the underdog every chance I get.
In my real estate career, nothing means more to me than helping a single parent become a homeowner or being part of a family’s journey toward generational wealth. I love land—exploring the Hill Country, discovering hidden gems, and connecting buyers and sellers with the perfect opportunity.
What sets me apart is my spirit: fun, genuine, attentive, and deeply committed to my clients’ goals. My customer service is rooted in making people feel seen, supported, and important. Whether you’re buying or selling land, building, or placing a manufactured home, your vision is my priority.
I’m here for the journey, the connection, and most of all—the excitement on your face when your dream becomes reality.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People may not know this, but I love karaoke…give me a mic and I’m in my element! I also have a passion for travel, discovering new places, and turning those adventures into inspiration for my brand. I’m a creative at heart, especially when it comes to marketing, and I genuinely enjoy helping others elevate their brands too.
One of my greatest joys is being a grandma! And yes… I also love laughing and having fun doing what I do! Some may say I’m not working, but I truly just want to live in the moment always!
