Today we’d like to introduce you to Andie Ibarra
Hi Andie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into animal chiropractic started with a deep love for animals and a passion for holistic healing. I originally enrolled in chiropractic school to work with people, having dealt with my own struggles with back pain and herniated discs.
Honestly, I didn’t even know animal chiropractic was “a thing” until I started school and discovered it was offered as a specialty. From that moment on, I was hooked.
I’ve always felt a strong connection to animals and wanted to bring the same natural, drug-free approach to their care that chiropractic had given me.
After completing my animal chiropractic certification, I started Dallas Animal Chiropractic with the vision of helping pets move, feel, and live better—without relying solely on medications or surgery. It’s been such a rewarding path. I’ve had the honor of working with everything from athletic agility dogs to animals who’ve become paralyzed due to injury.
Every day is different, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of these animals’ wellness journeys. What started as a small passion has now grown into a full-blown practice, and I’m so grateful to serve the pet-loving community here in Dallas.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most small business journeys, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road—but it’s been worth every step.
One of the biggest challenges has been navigating the legal side of animal chiropractic. In Texas, the laws are very strict, and a veterinarian referral is required before I can see any animal. While I fully support collaborative care and believe working with vets is so important, the process can sometimes slow things down or create extra hurdles for pet owners who are just trying to help their animals feel better.
Another challenge has been education—many people simply don’t know that animal chiropractic exists, or they assume it’s only for pets with major problems. I’ve had to spend a lot of time spreading awareness and helping people understand how gentle, safe, and effective chiropractic care can be for pets at all life stages.
That said, every obstacle has also been an opportunity to learn and grow. The relationships I’ve built—with pet owners, veterinarians, and of course the animals—have made it all so rewarding.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Dallas Animal Chiropractic?
Dallas Animal Chiropractic is a specialty practice offering gentle, non-invasive chiropractic care for animals—primarily dogs and cats, though I’ve worked with everything from monkeys to goats! I focus on improving mobility, reducing pain, and helping pets live more comfortable, active lives without relying solely on medications or invasive procedures.
I work out of a dedicated office space, which allows me to provide a calm, consistent environment for my patients. What sets my practice apart is the individualized care each animal receives. Every session is tailored to their specific needs, and I take time to really get to know each pet and their unique story.
I’m also passionate about holistic, whole-body wellness. While chiropractic care is at the heart of what I do, I may also incorporate cold laser therapy or share home care and lifestyle recommendations to support healing and long-term comfort.
What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is the trust I’ve built with both pet parents and local veterinarians. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and always centered around what’s best for the animal.
At the core of my brand is education, empathy, and results. I want pet parents to know that chiropractic care isn’t just reactive—it’s a proactive, wellness-based option that can help animals thrive at every stage of life.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few great ways people can work with, collaborate with, or support Dallas Animal Chiropractic!
If you’re a pet parent interested in chiropractic care for your animal, the best way to get started is by reaching out through my website or social media. I’d be happy to answer questions and guide you through the referral process (since a veterinary referral is required before we can begin treatment in Texas).
If you’re a veterinarian or animal professional who’s interested in collaborating, I’m always open to building relationships and working together to provide the best care possible for our shared patients. I truly believe in a team-based, integrative approach.
And if you just want to support the mission, following along on social media, sharing my content, or telling a friend about animal chiropractic makes a big difference. So many people still don’t know this type of care exists for pets—and every bit of awareness helps spread the word and get animals the help they need.
