Community Highlights: Meet Brandon Battlehart of Vengeance Overland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Battlehart

Hi Brandon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Vengeance Overland to give back to other veterans like myself with PTSD. As a wounded warrior, and a disabled veteran from the Veteran Affairs, I felt entitled sitting on my butt not working. I wanted to pay forward the help that was given to me as a homeless veteran when I was discharged by the US Army, so I started Vengeance Overland. The culmination of my love for the outdoors, modding vehicles to tackle any terrain, turned into a sense of purpose, which then morphed into a full fledged 501(c)3 Non-Profit to give back to other veterans in the community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
So honestly no. As with anything there are some challenges most notably funding, and networking. This is true with any new start up company, however it has been made exponentially harder due to the state of the economy, and well just not being known in the community since we are just starting out. Formed in April of 2024, there is a long road of grinding out in the trenches so to speak, building relationships within the community, and local businesses. Ultimately I hope this spreads awareness that Vengeance Overland not only exists, but if a veteran is in need, or a family member or friend of a veteran is in need, they can reach out, and we can be there for them.

As you know, we’re big fans of Vengeance Overland. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Vengeance Overland, we’re not just any overlanding company. We’re on a relentless journey of healing and transformation through the power of exploration.

As a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation, we venture into the wilderness, where the open road becomes a pathway to freedom and self-discovery. By raising awareness for PTSD through overlanding, we also host charitable events and fundraisers to give back to the community.

For a full breakdown of what we offer as well as more information about the Team, 3 Pillars of excellence, it would be wise to refer readers to the website which breaks it all down.

What’s next?
Honestly it is as simple as referring to short term and long term goals.

Short term goals are as simple as getting the name out there, attending other events to network within my niche, and meeting people in the community. While that is happening there are fundraisers on all the social medias, and ways to help support on the website.

As we have stated prior, funding is the hardest facet of a startup, and I try as the owner to pour as much as I am able out of pocket into the mission. Hopefully with some proof in the pudding, time in grade, and operating in the community for a year or more, this will lead to investors, startup grants, seed funding, etc. There really is only so much I can do out of pocket.

Long term goals are even simpler. We want to take what we have, and scale it where no buddy is out of reach. Think locally, act globally.

At the end of the day, we don’t anticipate failure. Some shortcomings will happen for sure, that is always going to be the case. We will just keep pushing forward, and looking for every opportunity to be there to save a veterans life with the trauma of PTSD.

Even if just one life is saved, everything that has been put into Vengeance Overland is worthwhile.
