Community Highlights: Meet Carol Rosini of Rosini Vineyards

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Rosini.

Hi Carol, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We love exploring different wines and wine regions. When my husband, Greg sold his company we decided the stock market was not a safe place to put the money and decided real estate was the best investment. And we thought why not expand on our love for wine! When we saw the 25-acre ranch for sale Greg thought it was the perfect location. We first renovated the house on the property, and it is listed on VRBO next we planted the vines then we started working on the plans for the building while Greg attended Grayson County College and went through the viticulture and enology programs. Our first vintage was in 2019 and we opened the winery in July of 2021.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It was not a smooth road. We had some struggles with the city in regard to permits and neighbors of the property protesting. They were unfamiliar with wineries and did not realize it would be a quiet business that closed early and would look beautiful!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rosini Vineyards?
Our winery is on a 25-acre ranch with ponds. We have a great selection of wines and an awesome menu! Our son, Layton, went to culinary school and he is now our chef along with the very talented Lucas who has an extensive restaurant background. We also do brunch on Sundays and live music every Friday night.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Getting to know our customers and especially our wine club members. Strong wine clubs are the foundation for a successful winery.
