Courtney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I never intended for my business to be a business at all! This was really God’s plan & not mine. My daughter’s hair was thin & brittle & her growth was at a standstill. Family & friends recommend products to help, but nothing that I bought out of the stores gave me the desired results for her hair. I did my research & I took matters into my own hands. Before I knew it her hair was down her back & family started to notice & asked me to help them as well! Since then, I’ve done the same for thousands of people all over the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been easy, but nothing great will ever come easy. I didn’t have a mentor or someone to give me the blueprint, so I figured out a lot of things through doing research on my own & trial & error. I’ve encountered countless setbacks along this journey that forced me to re-strategize & adjust. From being betrayed by team members & contractors to experiencing slow seasons & days with absolutely no sales that made me question if we’d even survive as a business. I’ve learned to remain faithful & consistent despite the challenges & use every obstacle as training for where we’re headed. God definitely didn’t bring us this far to leave us!

We’re a black-owned company that sells natural, effective, & cost-efficient hair care & skin care products that do not contain any harsh chemicals. We now have a salon that offers services to get your hair treated with the products as well. Our mission is to supply products and services that enhance our client’s physical appearance and mental state. We are dedicated to making our clients feel beautiful by building confidence and self-esteem through beauty. We pride ourselves on consistently providing a high level of customer satisfaction by rendering excellent service and quality products and empowering clients through beauty at an affordable price/value relationship! Although I’ve helped thousands of people around the works restore their hair & skin, my proudest accomplishment is restoring my grandmother’s hair back to health, she’s a 2x cancer survivor, so her progress is really personal for me! Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I don’t have a physical mentor, but I utilized books, podcasts, & taking classes to help me create a strategy for my business. One of the most beneficial tools for me in my journey has been participating in pop-up shops. It gives me an opportunity to recruit new clients as well as network with other business owners & find out about other networking events.
