Hi Daniel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Daniel Rangel, and I’m from Garland, Texas. I was working at Texas Health Hospital when I meet my good friend Tyler. He is the one who introduced me into car detailing. On our days off we will go detail cars for extra money. I didn’t know that detailing was what I wanted to do as my career until I saw how the clients would react once they saw their clean cars. Seeing the smiles on their faces is what made me happy about the work I do. I quit my job at the hospital and started working for Sam’s Club. As the days went by working my 8-hour shifts, I started to realize that this is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So, one day my wife told me to quit and to pursue my dream of owning my own business. At the beginning, it was hard very hard for me and my wife because I had just finished college and we were trying to find the funds to support the business. I started my company Dr.Detail in September 2021. Fast forward a year later and I’ve learned so much about owning a business and love waking up in the morning and going to work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One main struggle that my company has faced is advertisement. For a long time, it was very hard to put myself out there for people to notice me.
