Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Vick.
Hi Ebony, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been a builder at heart. My journey has never been one straight line into one industry or one title. It has been a series of experiences that taught me how to create, adapt, lead, and keep expanding.
I started out building in the most practical way possible — by taking ideas seriously enough to act on them. One of my earliest businesses was Shanta Hair Beauty Fashion, which began with cosmetics and eventually grew into hair, beauty, fashion, e-commerce, and even a brick-and-mortar store. I learned that business by doing: researching, watching how others operated, building my own website, creating products, marketing, selling, fulfilling orders, and figuring things out in real time.
At the same time, I was also building my professional career. Over the years, I developed experience in customer success, technology, strategy, leadership, and operations, which gave me a very different set of skills than entrepreneurship alone. That combination has shaped how I approach everything now. I understand both the creativity of building something from scratch and the structure required to scale, lead, and operate effectively.
From there, I continued expanding into other areas, including real estate through Landen Realty Group, where I help clients navigate buying, selling, renting, and investing with an education-first approach. I also have a creative side through music and entertainment, and I’ve continued building my personal brand around entrepreneurship, leadership, and growth.
The common thread through all of it is that I’ve never believed I had to fit into one box.
I can be a corporate leader and an entrepreneur. I can work in technology and real estate. I can build a beauty business and still pursue creative interests. I can be strategic and creative at the same time.
That mindset eventually became the foundation of my personal philosophy: Empower. Execute. Elevate.
For me, empowerment is believing that more is possible. Execution is taking action before everything is perfect. Elevation is continuing to grow once you’ve already proven to yourself that you can begin.
Today, I see myself as a serial entrepreneur, business leader, and creative who is still evolving. I’m continuing to grow my businesses, expand my leadership career, explore AI and technology, build content and educational platforms, and create opportunities that allow me to help other people move from ideas into action.
I’m proud of what I’ve built, but I’m probably even more excited about what I’m still becoming.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, and I think that is part of why I value growth so much now.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build while carrying multiple responsibilities at the same time. I have grown businesses while working a demanding corporate career, raising a family, continuing my education, and still trying to make space for myself. There were seasons where I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and questioning whether I was doing too much, but I kept learning how to adjust instead of quitting.
I have also had to experience setbacks in business. With Shanta Hair Beauty Fashion, I was able to grow from online sales into a brick-and-mortar location, but eventually I had to close the physical store. That was difficult because I had invested so much time, energy, and pride into building it. At first, it felt like I had lost something, but over time I realized I had not lost the business — I had simply outgrown one version of it. I relaunched and continued online, carrying the experience, lessons, and knowledge forward.
Another challenge has been learning not to measure my journey against someone else’s timeline. When you are ambitious, it is easy to feel like you should always be further ahead. I have had to learn that success is not always about moving faster; sometimes it is about becoming more strategic, more disciplined, and more sustainable.
I have also had to navigate being underestimated at times, especially while operating across different industries and roles. People often expect you to fit neatly into one box, but my path has included business, technology, real estate, beauty, leadership, and creativity. I had to become comfortable owning all of those parts of myself instead of shrinking them to make other people more comfortable.
The biggest lesson through all of it has been that resilience is not about never struggling. It is about continuing to move, even when the plan changes.
That is a big part of why Empower, Execute, Elevate means so much to me. I have had to empower myself through uncertainty, execute even when I did not have every answer, and elevate by learning from every setback instead of allowing it to define me.
I would not call the road smooth, but I would call it worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Empower.Execute.Elevate?
Empower.Execute.Elevate is my business and personal development platform designed to help aspiring and growing entrepreneurs move from ideas into action. At its core, the brand is built around three principles: empowering people to believe more is possible, helping them execute with clarity and structure, and giving them the tools to elevate once they have started.
My work is especially focused on people who have ideas, ambition, or even existing businesses but feel stuck between knowing what they want and actually creating a plan to move forward.
Through Empower.Execute.Elevate, I provide business consulting, strategy sessions, entrepreneurial education, public speaking, workshops, and digital learning experiences. I recently launched my course, Build a Business in 3 Days, which walks aspiring entrepreneurs through the foundational steps of taking a business idea and turning it into something tangible and actionable.
What sets my approach apart is that I teach from lived experience. I have built businesses from the ground up, operated an e-commerce brand, opened a brick-and-mortar location, rebuilt after setbacks, entered real estate, grown within corporate leadership, and continued pursuing creative ventures at the same time. I understand both the excitement of starting and the reality of figuring things out while managing work, family, finances, and uncertainty.
Because of that, my consulting style is practical. I am not interested in making entrepreneurship feel more complicated than it needs to be. I help people identify what actually matters, create a strategy, simplify the process, and execute.
I also speak on topics including entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, execution, personal growth, career development, AI for entrepreneurs, and building multiple streams of opportunity. Whether I am working one-on-one with a business owner, teaching a course, facilitating a workshop, or speaking to an audience, my goal is the same: I want people to leave with more clarity and the confidence to take the next step.
What I am most proud of is that Empower.Execute.Elevate represents more than one business or one chapter of my career. It is the framework that connects everything I have built and everything I continue to build.
I want readers to know that if they are sitting on an idea, trying to grow a business, looking for strategic guidance, or searching for a speaker who can connect entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, and execution in a relatable way, Empower.Execute.Elevate is where those conversations begin.
And I’d make sure your actual contact/booking information and course link appear somewhere in the published feature if they allow it. This answer creates the interest; the link gives readers somewhere to act on it.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that clarity does not always come before action — sometimes it comes because you took action.
For a long time, I thought I needed to have every detail figured out before making the next move. Entrepreneurship taught me otherwise. Some of my biggest lessons came from starting before I felt fully ready, learning in real time, making adjustments, and trusting myself enough to keep going.
I’ve also learned that growth is rarely linear. There have been seasons where things expanded quickly and others where I had to pause, pivot, rebuild, or completely rethink the plan. What mattered most was not avoiding setbacks, but learning how to use them.
That is really the foundation of Empower. Execute. Elevate.
Empower yourself to believe you can do more.
Execute before perfection becomes procrastination.
Elevate by learning from what worked, what did not, and who you became in the process.
If I had waited until I had all the answers, I would have missed so many opportunities to become the person I am today.
