Today we’d like to introduce you to Howard Melton.
Hi Howard, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In college at Alabama A&M I was a food science major at first, that didn’t last too long. I always had a talent in school with PowerPoint so I decided to change my major to communications media and since it was in the same building as the band it was a no-brainer. When I got in the program I became a student to the arts, the free expression and the manipulation of expression was so interesting. While using what I was learning in school to market local club venues I became a well-known videographer/ promoter in Huntsville. Not having to many opportunities like a larger city celebrity coverage was my lane. I was also a production assistant at the new station WHNT this gave me more of a corporate standpoint on entertainment and media coverage. During covid, I was getting my Master’s in Science in Communications Specialist and moved to Dallas, TX. Since moving to Dallas I have had clients with Lusters Pink, Jenny Beauty Supply, 97.9 The Beat, Makers Mark, Kirk Franklin and Maverick City, and multiple other clients. But my breakthrough was becoming an Editor for All Def Media where I would edit for the AllDef Woman/Gaming/ and Cannabis Channel, thanks to comedian Cynthia Luciette. Being in the marching band and having a love for music has made me add more crafts to being a Multimedia specialist like Djing which I currently work with Harmland where we do Homecoming for high schools in Texas.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest struggles I had was when I was in undergrad and I had to decide to pull the plug on my mother on Valentines 2015.
As you know, we’re big fans of TankTV. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
In my business, I specialize in Urban Media and providing marketing campaigns for clients. Whether it’s a social media campaign or books sets and venues for productions, video editors or business flyers. TankTv is a brand that produces what clients may need from concept to completion to succeed in improving digital media objectives. What I am most proud brand-wise is the clients we work with and the connections we are able to make with those clients to change perspectives. TankTV offers Videography Services (including editing), Photography services, Djing services, and Digital Marketing campaign services.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is going to Disney World and experiencing Animal Kingdom
