Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Adams.
Hi Jacqueline, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Texan, born and raised! Dallas has always felt like home and will always be home. I am the proud owner of Jax Suds, a cleaning, and Air Bnb Management service. I have a wonderful fiancé (La’Darius), two lovely sons (Jonathan and Elijah), and two happy dogs (Bear and Queen). I come from a single-parent household, although my father has always been present in my life. Equally, they’ve both poured onto my siblings and I the value of self-worth, knowing who you are, and being self-reliant. It allowed me to grow into the person I am today. I am driven, hard-working, and even in my lowest moments, I am giving my all (especially if it’s for someone else). Growing up, I was always surrounded by love; love from my family, friends, and peers. And because of that, I made it my mission to express that love to others tenfold.
I’m a very positive person and it has been my strength I pride myself on. I’ve always known I had a passion for helping people; making sure they feel the type of joy I feel. I didn’t really know how to talk or even channel my passion for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the course of my life, from grade school until college, I’ve been involved in many organizations who shared in my passion and that allowed me to explore within myself a lot deeper. The deeper I dove, the more I realized that it’s not just helping people that brings me joy, it’s the peace of mind I bring them. And that’s why I do what I do. But my true beginning happened in college. Around 2015, I began working for a cleaning company and just fell in love with the environment. In that short time, I actually enjoyed working and helping other in the process.
I graduated college at University of North Texas – Denton in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and was ready to start my career in that field. I worked for Dallas County at the Henry Wade Juvenile Detention Center as a Juvenile Supervision Officer. But the more I worked in that field, the more I realized that wasn’t my TRUE purpose. As I asked God to show me that purpose and allow me to receive it with an open heart, it was presented to me in the most graceful way possible. Cleaning and organizing, for me, has always been a natural thing; very second nature. Then, I had a moment of clarity: cleaning is helping those in need. And that’s when I knew.
So, in 2019, I made the decision to start my own cleaning business. Anyone can start a cleaning business but NO ONE can display the love and joy I bring with I clean. My clients today enjoy how much time and dedication I put into each home because they know they’re getting more than what they have paid for.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenge Jax Suds faced was the pandemic. We had to close our doors for a while and focus on other sources of income to provide for our family. But we are proud to say that we have re-opened and ready for anything coming our way!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Jax Suds?
