Community Highlights: Meet Jennifer Montez of JM GLAMOUR

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Montez.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After graduating from cosmetology school 17 years ago, I began my career at Avalon Salon in Snider Plaza, where I worked for several years and developed a strong foundation in hairstyling. While I valued that experience, I felt drawn to expand my skills into makeup artistry. This led me to work at Nordstrom’s cosmetic counters, where I discovered my passion for combining hair and makeup to create complete, polished looks.

Although I appreciated the people I met and the work I did in both roles, I had not yet found the area of the industry that truly inspired me. That changed when I began working in the wedding space. I met bridal stylist Angie Williams and worked alongside her for about a year. Through that experience, I found my passion for bridal beauty and decided to take a leap of faith by founding JM Glamour.

Today, JM Glamour is a luxury bridal hair and makeup team known for creating timeless, polished looks that enhance each client’s natural beauty. Led by me, Jennifer Montez, our team specializes in both traditional and airbrush makeup, as well as customized hairstyling for brides and their wedding parties. We provide on-site services to ensure a seamless and stress-free wedding morning, and we prioritize understanding each client’s unique vision. With a strong reputation for professionalism, attention to detail, and long-lasting results, we take pride in helping couples feel confident and camera-ready on their wedding day.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has not always been smooth, as I have faced numerous challenges in both my personal and professional life. My role requires me to consistently stay current with industry trends and evolving styles while also preserving timeless, classic aesthetics. In addition, I continually work to expand marketing and advertising efforts to reach the appropriate clientele.

Working with brides on such an important day is truly a privilege, but it also carries significant responsibility. I am committed to ensuring that each client’s vision is executed flawlessly for one of the most meaningful milestones in their lives. Along the way, I have developed the ability to navigate unexpected situations, including weather-related issues and personal emergencies that may arise.

Managing a large team has also strengthened my leadership and organizational skills, as I strive to support my staff while ensuring every client receives exceptional service. Although I have occasionally encountered dissatisfied clients, these experiences have provided valuable opportunities to refine my problem-solving abilities and turn challenging situations into positive outcomes.

We are an award-winning bridal hair and makeup team that has been featured in numerous magazines, vlogs, and industry publications. While we specialize in weddings, we also provide beauty services for a variety of special events. One of my greatest points of pride is the growth of our company and the exceptional team behind it. Our artists are dedicated, hardworking, and genuinely invested in each client, ensuring every vision is thoughtfully brought to life.
