Hi Jesse, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my Accounting journey in 2012. I was a part-time college student for eight years while working full-time jobs. I prioritized working so I would not have to take out any student loans. I’m very proud of that decision as I graduated in 2020 with $0 debt.
I began my career in accounting in 2020 and quickly became a manager. I have always loved teaching and sharing knowledge to my peers throughout my life. This was a trait that works really well in accounting as our main role to help business stakeholders make key business decisions. I am very good at taking complicated subjects and making them easy to understand.
After several years as an Accounting manager, I realized there is a strong need for skilled accountants who are also skilled in communicating complex accounting into information that a business owner can actually understand and use, especially in the small business realm.
In 2024, I took a leap of faith and started my own bookkeeping business. My mission is to help small business owners, ranging from start-ups, mom & pop shops, and business owners who are really wanting to get serious about tracking and managing their finances.
I treat my clients like business partners and focus on building strong relationships and trust.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would not describe my journey as smooth, but I always had vision and knew the goals I wanted to accomplish, which helped me stay on a path.
The biggest struggle for me was to overcome my fear of starting a business. I suddenly started thinking of all the things that could go wrong and it really made it hard to take the next step forward.
I had to remind myself that almost every single business faces this fear and has to overcome it. There is always risk in owning a business and you have to be able to adapt to the environment.
Ever since I started my business, things have been going extremely well. Since I have overcome that initial fear, I feel like I can handle any challenge that comes my way.
Because my primary client base are small business owners, this experience helps me relate to them on a deeper level since I understand some of the fear and challenges they may be facing,

At a high level, I offer peace of mind to small business owners.
I prepare financial reports that make filing taxes a breeze and keep clients out of trouble with the IRS by following best practices. This prevents costly penalties and interest that generally show up as a surprise to the business owner who does not fully understand all the responsibilities that come with owning a business.
What sets me apart from other accounting / bookkeeping firms is that I have 1 on 1 sessions to review the financial reports and really explain them in a way that makes sense. I also teach some basic accounting principles to empower my clients to understand their business on a deeper level.
I have strong relationships with my clients and I always make sure they truly understand the information I give them.
