Hi Jhanilka and Anthony, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Meet Jhanilka and Anthony Hartzog, a millennial couple that had to face the reality of discussing finances, and finding a pragmatic solution to tackling their overwhelming debt.
– Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, moved out to Dallas 5 years ago right after getting married
– In 23 months the couple has paid off $114K of Debt, including Student loans, credit cards and paid off their car in 1 year.
– They raised their income by $20K their first year by working numerous side hustles
– During the pandemic they made about $155K in side hustles alone
– Also started a Local Residential Cleaning Business Maids 2 Match here in Dallas without cleaning houses

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has pretty much been a smooth road as when we were getting out of debt, we were raising our income tremendously through side hustling. The biggest struggle we had was being sure that we prioritized our relationship and spending time with each other outside of work.

We started a cleaning business in Dallas in November 2017 and we are now at $700k sales and we don’t clean homes. When we moved down here we saw a need to be able to book a cleaning seamlessly and online so we decided to start. Our clients are able to book us online and then we connect contractors with the job to then go clean the client’s home. We are proud of where the business has grown too, we have grown to the point that we are putting an operations manager in place to assist with the business. Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Customer service, responsiveness, empathy, fixing problems, being open to feedback. being able to work together as a couple and working based on our strengths, and pivoting in the business as needed.
