Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodie Solberg.
Hi Jodie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been working therapeutically for over 20 years. I have degrees in both Psychology and Sociology, and I started my first business as a consultant and coach for female entrepreneurs while I was in graduate school studying Clinical Psychology. I began my career working with children and families suffering from the effects of abuse and doing parenting coaching and training. Later, I worked in early childhood education, and counseling teens in after-school programs and group homes. As my career progressed, I worked with people dealing with chronic illnesses and addiction.
Alongside my therapeutic career, I continued my entrepreneurial journey as a consultant and coach for women in business. I have created transformative coaching programs that help women build their self-esteem and confidence, and increase their focus, strength, resilience, and emotional intelligence. She also teaches about the importance of prioritizing self-care, so they can go out and give back to their families and communities to create positive changes in the world and serve others as their best selves.
In 2019, I put my two worlds together when I founded Psyched Up Success, fulfilling my long-standing dream of having my own private mental wellness practice working virtually with clients worldwide. My diverse experience gives me a unique perspective to help my clients overcome their limiting beliefs, break through blocks to progress, and heal from trauma so they can be free from anxiety and fear, beat burnout, and have more peace, joy, and harmony in their personal and professional lives.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In my journey to where I am today, I have had to overcome chronic burnout. As an overachiever from a very early age, I would pile too much onto my plate for extended periods of time, which caused physical exhaustion and overwhelm. In addition to my clients, I am a military wife and have also helped support and take care of my mother, who is a cancer survivor, for many years. I learned that in order to take care of others as my best self, I had to take care of myself first. When I started Psyched Up Success and decided to work virtually, I was able to create a lifestyle shift that allows me to build my work schedule around my overall health and well-being. Now, I teach others to recover from and prevent burnout as well.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Mental Wellness and Success Coach, a licensed and certified Master Hypnotherapist, Speaker, and International Best-Selling Author. I love working with purpose-driven professional women on a mission to live in alignment with their passion and values, to create real and lasting change in their lives and the world around them. I help them tap into the power of their subconscious mind to gain the clarity and confidence they need to up-level and achieve both their personal and professional goals. I founded Psyched Up Success in 2019, which is my private mental wellness practice working virtually with clients worldwide. I specialize in working with trauma such as PTSD, women’s issues such as post-partum challenges and relationship issues including abuse, and anxiety. I offer individual client sessions, as well as my group Hypnotherapy program The Clarity Collective, and an 8-week course called The Emotional Empowerment Project. I am an international best-selling co-author of “Fierce Women Roaring into Purpose: From Pain to Purpose” and “Women of Power: Ignited to Serve.” My greatest joy and purpose are in helping other women to find their voice, become their best selves, create a life they love, and pass those lessons on to the next generation of strong, independent women.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice for people who are just starting out in business is to remember that success is a journey and to focus on progress over perfection by creating work-life harmony, rather than putting pressure on themselves to keep everything perfectly balanced all the time, which leads to burnout. Always look for the lesson in every experience, so you can learn and grow as you continue to move forward. Acknowledge and build up your strengths and surround yourself with like-minded individuals with different strengths that complement your own. You don’t have to do it all alone, delegate and get the support you need.
