Today we’d like to introduce you to Kailie Davis.
Hi Kailie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out by taking a cosmetology course through my high school in 2017. I was doing friends and family members hair for really cheap and eventually ventured of into taking clients. I graduated high school with my cosmetology license in 2019 and moved to frisco. I’ve always taken my job very seriously, going out my way to make sure my clients were well taken care of and put their trust in me. I just recently relocated back to frisco from Dallas and i can’t imagine doing anything else
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve had some bumps, from slow seasons to having to take mental health breaks from crazy customers. But i make sure to pray often and ask God to remove any negativity from my business and life. I’ve created a certain brand for myself to keep the bad people away and had to really learn how to take care of myself while running a business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am licensed cosmetologist of 8+ years, who specializes in extensions and braiding. I sell quality bundles. I’m known for my kindness and really making sure each client/customer feels comfortable and welcome. What sets me apart from other hairstylist is that i actually care about people’s feelings, life’s and how i make them feel. It’s not just about the money for me. I truly value each interaction i have with someone. If you want to come in and get your hair done, but you also have a lot going and need to cry, i allow you to do so because you never know if that person needed you in that moment. I feel as if God called me to this profession as my purpose to not only make women beautiful but make them feel heard. I’m most proud of my growth over the years. I used to be very passive and quiet and didn’t really have confidence in myself. But now i walk with my head held high because i know i am the best version of myself. I want people to know that Hair By K Mychelle is just a name. But the time and effort i put behind it is what’s most important. Every decision i make is intentional. When you sit in my chair, you’re in great hands because i value each client and their time. I want to take as much worry off of you as possible. Each style comes with a wash and blowdry (which is rare) and complimentary wine/champagne and snacks.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to find ways to spend less time behind the chair but still get to service clients. I plan on opening my own salon suites and investing into other businesses to triple my income. I want to leave a legacy for my daughter and her children and theirs.
