Community Highlights: Meet Kevin Craft of Kevin Craft Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Craft.

Hi Kevin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been drawn to the mix of creativity and problem-solving. I started my career as a designer working with agencies and brands across different industries, learning how design can shape perception and drive real impact. Over time, I realized I wanted to build something more personal / tailored to each customer that reflected my own approach to brand identity: thoughtful, strategy driven, and rooted in meaning. That led me to start my own studio, Kevin Craft Co. where I focus on helping brands find clarity and confidence in how they show up in the world.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not always smooth, but I wouldn’t trade it. The biggest challenge early on was learning how to balance creativity with the business side of things. Building design systems, pricing my work fairly, and staying consistent during slow seasons all took time. But each challenge helped me refine my process and get clearer about the kind of clients and work I really want to attract.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kevin Craft Co.?
Kevin Craft Co. is centered on intention-driven design. Every brand I create begins with understanding the person or team behind it: their vision, values, and what makes them unique. From there, I build visual identities that are clear, timeless, and deeply aligned with who they are. I don’t chase trends or style for the sake of it. My focus is on designing with purpose, so the final identity feels like a natural expression of the brand. What makes me proud is when a client says their brand finally feels like them. That moment of recognition and confidence is what it’s all about.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Starting my own studio was definitely the biggest risk I’ve taken. Leaving behind the stability of agency life to build something from scratch was scary, but it forced me to trust myself and stay adaptable. I think risk is essential for growth, it’s what pushes you to evolve, even when things don’t go perfectly. I’ve learned that calculated risks, grounded in preparation and purpose, tend to lead to the best opportunities.
