Kevin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Wow I was blessed enough to have a grandfather that served our country, and came back home from war and committed himself to his craft as a barber! I am is oldest grandson, so he decided to teach me how to cut hair when I was around 10 or 11 years old! I didn’t realize then what I know now, but those moments have shaped me into who I am today!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road has been a rough rollercoaster! Even though my grandfather taught me his craft of cutting hair, I didn’t see value in it at the time! I wanted to run the streets early in my life and as I got older I realized I wanted to be in the corporate world, so I pursued just that, then the world was hit with a global pandemic, and I found myself on the outside looking in after being furloughed from that six figure job! I was left with nothing, every door closed in my face and I after I tried every attempt to make money my way i shut it down! I decided that it is time to look into my gift of cutting hair!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a local professional barber currently in Haltom City that is located in Fort Worth! I specialize in grooming and relaxation, no one leaves the same way they came in! I like to call myself a confidence expert! I also am an author/speaker my current book is doing extremely amazing on Amazon! It is called “The Soul of a Man! What sets me apart from other barbers, is their are layers to who I am and who I freely give to my clients, whether that is encouragement because of what I have been through or building strategy’s to help them achieve their goals and success! I am most proud of the brand Luxury Grooming, it is a classy brand with rich roots! That is what makes it so special. How do you define success?
Success is defined by the first day you find your God given gift, and then you begin to pursue your purpose! Success is bigger than money, and it is more important than notoriety when you are following your purpose!
