Community Highlights: Meet Leslie White of HALO Gorgeousness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie White.

Hi Leslie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I began my career in global technology and telecommunications sales for the world’s 2nd largest company—a Fortune 5 organization.

I became fascinated not only with sales, but with performance psychology + behavioral design: what people respond to coupled with what creates actual influence, and what allows someone to perform beyond what they previously believed was possible.

Using sales strategies I developed myself, I ultimately achieved 3,018% to plan and ranked #2 among approximately 17,000 salespeople.

Once I achieved Top 1% of my field, what really interested me even more than my own performance, was helping other people discover what they were capable of.

That led me into Women’s Leadership Coaching, where I worked with emerging leaders and women navigating highly matrixed corporate environments.

My work centered on helping them develop their leadership voice, communicate with greater influence and impact, and begin operating from a different understanding of themselves.

78% percent of my clients earned a promotion within the first year of our work together. Statistically speaking, I knew I was onto something proven and repeatable.

One experience became particularly formative for me. I coached a global corporate marketing director at Oracle who had remained in the same role for approximately a decade and felt she had reached a professional ceiling. Within eight months of our work together, she secured a C-level position accompanied by a substantial increase in compensation.

What stayed with me wasn’t simply the promotion—it was watching what happened when her perception of herself EXPANDED!!!!!!. The external results began following an internal shift, and that change affected not only her career, but her family and the life she was able to create.

That experience helped crystallize something I had been observing repeatedly: there was a method and a process behind helping people reconnect with a more expansive version of themselves and then take inspired action from that embodied identity.

After six years of coaching, I moved into television production, adding media and storytelling to my background and earning two Telly Awards. Eventually, the combination of global technology and sales, executive leadership coaching, transformation work, and television gave me the foundation—and the entrepreneurial conviction—to build something of my own.

That became HALO Gorgeousness.

Today, I’m building HALO Gorgeousness as a future-facing, soul-based identity transformation company. At the center of my work is the belief that identity precedes evidence: when we change the identity from which we think, decide and act, we change what becomes possible.

For me, it is an extraordinary privilege to enter that space with someone as they clear away identities, expectations and beliefs that no longer serve them—or perhaps never truly belonged to them—and reconnect with their own authentic authority.

From there, we create a compelling vision of who they are becoming and begin taking action from that identity now rather than waiting for some future moment to give them permission.

I often describe it very simply: this work isn’t about figuring it out. It’s about letting it out.

That philosophy is ultimately what HALO Gorgeousness is:
bringing the future self into the present, embodying her now, and allowing action, opportunity and impact to emerge from who you have decided to become.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road!

Early in my career, I used to ask myself one question constantly as my main motivator and discipline standard:
How badly do you want it?

It became fuel for me. I discovered that when I expanded in one area of my life, I expand everywhere!
What a concept!
As I achieved professionally, I was simultaneously setting and reaching new goals financially, physically and personally. I was building my book of business one client at a time, and I felt as though I was architecting an early version of operating as the highest and best version of myself.

At the peak of that chapter, I was earning commission checks as high as $29,000 a month, driving a Porsche and had nearly paid off my condominium in Boca Raton, Florida.

Professionally, my foundation felt incredibly solid. I specialized in winning new business—new logos rather than inheriting established accounts—and ultimately achieved 3,018% to plan, became the leading producer of new logos and earned the coveted Salesperson of the Year Status.

My guiding principle was simple: I would do whatever it took to earn business—ethically and with integrity.

Then I learned how quickly circumstances outside your control can change everything.

The company became engulfed in what would become the WorldCom accounting scandal. Billions of dollars in accounting irregularities were uncovered, and WorldCom subsequently entered what was, at the time, the largest bankruptcy proceeding in U.S. history.

For those of us living through it as employees, however, it wasn’t merely a national business story. It was happening inside our homes and our lives.

My compensation structure changed dramatically. The financial trajectory I believed I had built suddenly felt as though it were folding like a house of cards. I felt powerless, enraged, saddened and deeply disappointed. Most significantly, my sense of trust in the institution around me collapsed.

For a long time, I viewed that experience almost exclusively through the lens of what it had cost me. It took years, DECADES EVEN, for me to understand what it had also given me.

It gave me discernment. It changed my relationship with leadership, ownership and personal agency.

And ultimately, it planted one of the earliest seeds of my entrepreneurial life: the realization that I wanted to become capable of steering my own ship.

A mentor later taught me to think about profound setbacks in three stages.
First, the event feels larger than you and you feel powerless within it.
Second, you recognize how the experience shaped your character and developed capacities you might never otherwise have acquired.
And third, if you can get there, you develop gratitude—not because what happened was desirable, but because you understand what you became capable of carrying because you survived it.

I am only now finally understand that third stage.

I AM grateful that I had the opportunity to play in an arena that large and experience that level of unprecedented, meteoric success.
Circumstances could change. Companies could change. Money could disappear. But no one could take away WHO I HAD TO BECOME TO PRODUCE THOSE RESULTS. REPEATEDLY.

That distinction has become foundational to HALO Gorgeousness. External evidence can change overnight; the identity, capacity, discernment and self-trust you develop belong to you.

Years ago, my question was: “How bad do you want it?”

Today, I ask a very different one:

“Show me how amazing it gets.”

That shift—from proving, pushing and surviving to creating from alignment—is perhaps the clearest expression of my own identity transformation. And it is the place from which I am building HALO Gorgeousness now.

THAT is the story.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
HALO Gorgeousness is a future-facing, soul-based identity transformation company built around one foundational premise: identity precedes evidence.

We help people transform the way they see themselves so they can change the way they make decisions, take action, create opportunities and ultimately experience their lives. My work sits at the intersection of identity transformation, self-concept, personal power, mindset and meaningful impact.

What makes HALO Gorgeousness different is that I am not particularly interested in helping someone simply “fix” the current version of themselves. I am interested in helping them identify what they have outgrown, what no longer belongs to them, and what they may have inherited from other people, environments or earlier chapters of their lives. From there, we architect a compelling vision of who they are becoming and begin bringing that future identity into the present through embodied, inspired action.

I often say, “This work isn’t about figuring it out. It’s about letting it out.”

That distinction is important to me. I believe there is enormous power in reconnecting people with their own authentic authority rather than positioning another person as the authority over their lives. My role is to help create the architecture, language and environment that allow someone to recognize themselves differently—and then begin behaving in alignment with that recognition.

HALO Gorgeousness draws upon my background in global technology and sales, executive leadership coaching, transformation work, media and storytelling. Those seemingly different chapters ultimately taught me the same thing: our internal identity influences how we communicate, what we believe we are available for, the standards we establish, the opportunities we recognize and the actions we are willing to take.

Today, that philosophy is expanding through coaching and identity-transformation experiences, intellectual property, speaking, media and publishing. One of our current offerings is the Star Power Activation™ | Identity Shifting Blueprint™, designed to help people examine their self-concept, activate their personal power and deliberately embody the identity capable of creating what comes next.

What I am most proud of is that HALO Gorgeousness is being built as more than a collection of services or products. It is an evolving body of work around the architecture of identity—and the extraordinary things that can happen when someone stops waiting for external evidence to tell them who they are allowed to become.

This is the lane.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
“THE WORLD HAS FINALLY OPENED UP FOR YOU! PAY ATTENTION.”

If there is one thing I would leave with your readers, it is this: the world has finally opened up for you. PAY ATTENTION.

We are living through a remarkable period where definitions of leadership, influence, success and even identity are being rewritten and completely overhauled. What an opportunity!!!

People no longer have to wait for an institution, title, company or gatekeeper to determine the size of their contribution.

We have unprecedented opportunities to create, communicate, build communities, develop brands, launch ideas and bring meaningful work into the world.

I am particularly interested in the leaders, founders, women CEO s, change-makers and brands of the future who understand that success + soulful impact do not have to exist on opposite sides of the equation.

I believe the next generation of influential leaders will combine vision with humanity, ambition with meaning, personal power with responsibility, and commercial success with genuine contribution.

That requires more than strategy. It requires identity.

You have to become capable of holding the life, leadership and impact you say you want. Y
ou have to develop the self-concept, standards, discernment and internal authority to meet the opportunities that arrive.

That is why so much of my work comes back to becoming.

Identity precedes evidence.

You do not have to wait until the world validates your next identity before you begin embodying it. Sometimes the decision comes first. The evidence follows.

So my invitation to anyone reading this is to look carefully at the world opening around you and ask: What would become possible if I stopped waiting for permission and began showing up as the person my next chapter requires?

The future is not simply something we arrive at.

It is something we participate in creating.
