Community Highlights: Meet Levi Chaney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levi Chaney.

Hi Levi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Levi The Real Estate Guy I was born and raised in Dallas, Tx. Real Estate was something I began being interested in when I was a teenager. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit so going into college, I choose to major in Business instead of focusing on Real Estate. After graduation, I started a few businesses which always caused me to put Real Estate school on the back burner. One day while working at my desk, something leads me to start searching for real estate schools in my area. Honestly, I believe it was God that put it back on my heart. Since that day, I followed my heart and I’ve been focused on being the best Realtor I can be.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I can’t say that it’s been a smooth road. I’ve had a ton of ups and downs. I believe that all the downs are what makes the ups and victories feel a lot better, though. After getting my license, I got my first deal extremely fast but didn’t get another one for about 6-7 months. I’m a partner in Kicking It ATX and in the beginning, it was hard trying to juggle the two. Over time I have changed how I go about doing business, mainly because how I was initially taught to get business didn’t feel authentic to me. What I was taught was working for others, however, it wasn’t right for me, so I had to find what works for me without reinventing the wheel too much.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I help people buy, sell, and invest in real estate. I’m known for my customer service and drive. To me, my clients are not just another transaction. I realize this is one of the biggest purchases of their life and I don’t take that lightly. I want to educate and help them make the best decision for them. The biggest thing I’m proud of is I’ve never changed who I am. Everyone that has worked with me chooses me because they liked me as a person. I may show up in a suit, t-shirt, and kicks or business casual you never know. However, each time you’re going to get 100% of me. I pride myself on being authentic, and I don’t care if you’re spending $60,000 or $1,000,000 each person gets the same great customer service from me. I love what I do, so I’m always excited to help.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I read a lot of books, but a few that I have really enjoyed and applied their teachings are Think and Grow Rich, The One Thing, The Way of the Superior Man, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, and any book about real estate that I come across and feel I should read. In addition to reading, I have a mentor/coach by the name of Christie Hall that stays on me day in and day out to make sure I’m doing what I planned to do, and she’s there to help me in any way when it comes to my career.
