Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Green.
Hi Maggie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a proud Oklahoma City native and former Division I basketball athlete. My journey has been shaped by pivotal, life-altering events—from being at the closest elementary school to the OKC bombing, to experiencing 9/11, Hurricane Katrina during my first weekend in college in Louisiana, and later, the COVID-19 pandemic. These moments taught me that life is full of change and adversity—and I’ve embraced that truth with a commitment to helping others thrive through it.
While in college, I discovered my passion for community impact. I found joy in reading to elementary students, supporting high schoolers through social challenges, and connecting families to vital resources. That calling led me to pursue social work.
Today, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Greenwercs Coaching, Counseling & Consulting Services. I have been featured on panels, in newspaper articles, and facilitated classes advocating for the betterment of my surrounding community . Solo entrepreneurship is no small feat—it demands hope, faith, and a deep belief that your community deserves your expertise and service. That belief is the foundation of my work: empowering individuals and families to move toward wellness and resilience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Honestly, if the road had been smooth, the journey wouldn’t be rich enough to be elite. I believe strength is built through adversity, and I like to focus on those pain points that shaped my growth.
Some of the struggles along the way included having faith to consistently believe in myself, especially during uncertain times. Practicing self-care was also a challenge—learning to take breaks and prioritize my own wellness while serving others. Another hurdle was gaining experience through lower-paying stepping stone roles, which were necessary but often undervalued.
Each of these challenges helped me build the resilience and clarity needed to serve my community with purpose. They taught me that growth isn’t always glamorous, but it’s always worth it.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Greenwercs Coaching, Counseling, Consulting Services?

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about North Dallas is the abundance of unique opportunities. The diversity in age, culture, and social structures makes it an exciting place to be a helper and serve the community. There’s a vibrant energy here that fuels connection, growth, and innovation.
What I like least? Definitely the traffic—and the oversaturation of goods and services. It can feel overwhelming at times, especially when trying to navigate the city efficiently or find truly authentic experiences. But even with those challenges, the potential to make a meaningful impact here is what keeps me rooted and inspired.
