Community Highlights: Meet Maria Dryden of Maria Dryden Real Estate – Allie Beth Allman & Associates

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Dryden

Hi Maria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Wow, the older I get, the longer this answer becomes. After growing up in Northern California (Petaluma), I found my way to Los Angeles, graduated from Long Beach State with a degree in Political Science, a minor in Journalism and internships at Star 98.7FM The Jamie and Danny Show, Sony, CNN and KIIS FM. After landing in the entertainment industry (Mailroom of Paradigm Talent Agency, then an Assistant at Revolution Studios and eventually working from an Assistant to Coordinator to Manager in Business Affairs at MGM Studios), meeting my husband Robert and giving birth to our son Bobby, I consulted for a few years thereafter and turned my focus on my family and raising our son.
As our son turned 10 and I turned 40 my curiosity and passion for residential real estate led me to obtaining my real estate license. Although, I quickly learned to thrive in this business one must work harder physically, mentally and emotionally than their competition. Coldwell Banker Realty in Brentwood (Los Angeles) would be the place where I would get my start and by chance meet Beth Styne the COO of the Greater Los Angeles region. Shortly after meeting Beth, she decided to jump back into sales after 20 years on the corporate side. I asked to join her in the Beverly Hills office and with her other Partners’ approval, she agreed. As a Junior Partner in the Beth Styne Group it was a crash course in selling luxury real estate. Beth’s knowledge, demeanor, unwavering support and belief in me as an agent still gives me goose bumps. She gave me the opportunity to shadow her, to be a part of and be paid on her deals for the sole purpose of learning this incredible industry from the inside out. To train me to be the best agent in representing my clients and the brokerage. During this time COVID would change the world and as a result of the lockdowns, specifically in the city of Los Angels and the toll it was taking on my family, we decided to relocate to Dallas through the company my husband works for and it was the right move. It’s hard to believe we have been living in Dallas for almost 4 years. The city has been welcoming and a blessing for our family, faith and my path as an agent. Joining Allie Beth Allman & Associates has afforded me the same caliber of service for my clients. There has been tremendous growth in my business thanks to a few remarkable Allie Beth Allman agents, our CEO and my incredible clients who continue to give me opportunities beyond my wildest dreams! I’m looking forward to continuing to thrive in 2025!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Another great question. I try to minimize my thoughts on struggles along the way as when you survive adversity it in-turn creates strength, stability and success. Success not in the monetary sense but with peace in your soul. Challenges of putting myself through college, living with a high school friend from the age of 16 until leaving for college, and having my son diagnosed with Leukemia at 18 months old will forever be a part of my road to entrusting God with all outcomes. The strength of my resolve to focus on faith, gratitude and a glass that remains half full is why this life has always been a blessing.

Maria Dryden Real Estate at Allie Beth Allman & Associates is the answer to buying or selling residential real estate in Dallas. The importance of selecting an experienced agent as one buys or sells their home is extremely beneficial. When selling a home your agent is there to guide and advise you on decisions of listing price, benefits of exposure through social media, public websites, the MLS, direct mailers, networking groups and the overall marketing strategy (on and off market), negotiating purchase price, contract terms and honing in on a qualified buyer. It’s imperative to present your home in a way that builds an emotional connection with buyers through quality photography, staging, landscaping, property description and pricing. Discussing these options and how best to navigate bringing your home to market is part of my value. Communication is also what sets my business apart. This is a process and throughout each step, remaining vigilant to deadlines, available for questions, navigating and solving any challenges and having answers creates a smooth transaction. When a property for a myriad of reasons remains on market, there are a number of ways to re-set and reach a client’s ultimate goal. My attention to detail, positive energy, knowledge, honesty and work ethic enable my clients to meet their objectives with ease. Becoming attuned to my clients’ needs yields ideal results.
