Community Highlights: Meet Miesha Johnson of Gold Soul Lifestyle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miesha Johnson. 

Hi Miesha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I recently launched my lifestyle brand, Gold Soul Lifestyle in July of 2022. The idea for the brand came to me after I began thinking of how to expand my original company, Gold Soul Candle Co. I saw the brand as being more than just candles and wanted to expand my product offerings to reflect that. Creativity is something that I am passionate about, and I wanted to create a company that would allow me to be creative and make products that could really make a difference in people’s lives. Gold Soul Lifestyle’s mission is to create a community of creative, motivated, and inspired individuals. We aim to help transform our customer’s life into one filled with consistency, self-love, and positive discipline. Our introductory product, the 90-Day Goal Journal, does just that and more. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I believe my biggest challenge was building a company that I feel so emotionally connected to. After losing my father and Grandmother to cancer in 2019, I really wanted to understand life in a different way. I read over 50 books in the past two years on the topics of success, happiness, and personal development because I really wanted to understand what a happy and successful life was. When I got the idea to create the 90-Day Goal Journal, I was challenged to remain focused on the best way to execute the project. I spent a lot of time alone, meditating, reading more, and pouring everything that I learned into the Journal and eBook. I concluded that everyone at one point in their life should feel a sense of limitlessness. A feeling that they can do anything and be anyone that they want to be. The 90-Day Goal Journal is a tool that I believe will help my customers feel this. It was difficult to pack everything into a journal and ebook, but I believe that the challenge was absolutely worth it if I can help even one person discover that they are limitless.

Gold Soul Lifestyle is one of a kind. It mixes multiple lifestyle elements into one company with the goal of supplying the tools that our customers rely on to live a mindful life. Currently, we offer hand-poured candles and home fragrances along with the 90-Day Goal Journal. Our brand is unique because of the creativity and intention behind everything that we do. Every detail in our imaging and messaging is in alignment with what our mission is which is to create a community of creative, motivated, and inspired individuals. 

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice to anyone who is just starting out is to not give up. Business, especially in the beginning, is difficult, and the only way to be successful is consistently doing your best. It is like cutting down a tree with thick roots, one swing of the axe is not enough, but if you keep swinging with intensity, eventually, the tree will come down.
