Today we’d like to introduce you to Mone Fannin.
Hi Mone, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I came up with the idea in 2020 during Covid. Right when everything started to get back to our “New Normal”. I’ve always known I wanted to be an entrepreneur but I wasn’t really sure what lane I belonged in. I’ve always loved to clean its therapeutic for me it’s always been a major stress reliever. So, I sat on the idea for a couple of months wrote a few things down & did some brainstorming. Once I came up with a name everything began to kind of fall into place. I finally launched my business September 2020 & everything blew up from there. I’m originally from New Orleans but Dallas Tx is my second home. So, I already knew a lot of people here & it helped my business expand a lot faster than expected. By September 2021 I had already serviced over 150 clients in DFW and surrounding areas within just 1 year alone! I’m approaching my second year in business & I have so many more things in store! I will begin to hire employees this summer & continue to expand all over DFW. Maid By Luna has now serviced right at 275 clients! Also, we will not only expand over DFW but soon in other states & cities as well.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Entrepreneurship definitely has its up & downs! I became a Full-Time entrepreneur right at my year mark in business. I can say that was the scariest part but I needed to take that big leap of faith to see my Real Potential! I would said the biggest struggle for me is trying to do everything all by myself which can become overwhelming quickly. However, I make sure I stay focused & keep going! I treat my business like a flower, stay patient, continue to water & watch it flourish beautifully!

We’d love to hear about what you think about risk-taking?
I took a major risk when I quit my 9-5 Full-time job to become an entrepreneur full-time. It was a risk because I was no longer working under someone, now I make all of the executive decisions. It started off scary of course because it was New to me but it was SO worth it. I’m glad I took that leap of faith & not put my business on the back burner. I am now almost 2yrs in & 1yr full time working for myself. If you don’t take the risk, you miss out on the opportunity to be great!
