Today we’d like to introduce you to Nic & Julie Ellison. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Nic and Julie have always been passionate about fitness and healthy living. Nic grew up in Hobbs, NM, and came to DFW in 2004. He has been heavily involved in sports since a young age and was on a national traveling soccer team. Julie was born and raised in Coppell and is a TCU Alumni, class of ’09. She was a nationally ranked tennis player through the USTA growing up and is passionate about fitness. We love Fort Worth and with our passion for fitness and healthy living, we wanted to bring a fitness concept to Fort Worth to help others achieve their fitness goals as well. F45 Training West 7th Fort Worth is a life-changing fitness community, using functional exercises to recreate everyday movements to help you look and perform better in all aspects of your life, (which is why we fell in love with it). The best part about F45 is that anyone can do it, no matter your fitness level. Each workout is unique and thoughtfully curated, so you never do the same workout twice!
Our Certified Personal Coaches are trained to help others effectively achieve their fitness goals with personal training in a group environment. We recently had our one-year anniversary on January 11th, and we are so proud to be a part of the Fort Worth community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We started this journey at the end of 2019, with our construction build-out to be completed in May 2020. We had a very successful pre-sales kick-off starting March 1, until the world was shut down just shy of two weeks later, on March 13, 2020, due to COVID. With the shutdown and mandates in place, we had a long, stressful road to getting to where we are today. We had major construction delays due to supply chain issues and back-orders, and workers being scarce. We were finally able to open our doors in January 2021, but it was definitely a rough road to get there. We had, and continue to, put a lot of energy, heart, and soul into getting the studio ready to be open to the public.
