Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Uzoni.
Hi Nicholas, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my business as a side hustle in 2020. I was working for another corporate company who moved us to start working from home. I used the sudden influx of time I had to start building this company from the ground up. Overtime, I gradually took on more customers spanning from digital marketing clients, data & reporting clients, and most recently software development clients. The journey of this business has been built on strong relationships with clients who usually stay with me for multiple projects.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely challenges but they have only strengthened my resolve and helped me build better. While building this business I was also functioning as COO for a software development company. The demands were very intense at times and I consistently found myself being stretched very thin and having limited bandwidth. This showed me where I can further streamline my business’s operations and forced me delegate more off of my plate.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about nicholasuzoni.com (official name: Bloomfield Consulting Solutions)?
I specialize working with small and medium sized business in providing digital solutions. While my business originally started with me offering data analytics services it quickly evolved into also offering website design services. This allowed me to further engrain myself into my clients’ operations and position myself as a key consultant to many other business owners. While many of my customers reach out to me for a specific service, I quickly reposition the conversation to act as a consultant and resource to both them and their business. Digital marketers have become a dime a dozen so differentiating myself has come down to leveraging my experience as both a business owner and successful corporate employee. The goal is to first understand the problem at hand and then present the solution. No one wants to receive a one-size fits all approach when they have a critical business problem. I’d like to think my clients look to me as not a service provider but a true partner in their business’s success. I use the word partner because that’s important to me – I want the client to see me as a catalyst to their success. From a high-level my business offering can be broken into 3 core pillars:
Digital marketing services including website design, SEO, email marketing, and strategy.
Report & analytics services that focus on data management and data visualization.
Software development that includes both third-party integrations and full turn-key development solutions.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
To trust the process and trust the long-term trajectory of opportunities. It’s easy to get discouraged about “today” but it’s critical to continue building future opportunities to capitalize upon. Realize today’s challenges for what they are but don’t stop looking forward at the good opportunities ahead.
