Community Highlights: Meet Nisa Triplett of PhotoXO Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nisa Triplett.

Hi Nisa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I realized last year that I have a true passion for photography. Capturing special moments that people will look back on in the future and smile at is very comforting. I’ve always kind of been the “go-to” person when someone forgets to take pictures after an event or night out because I usually have at least a few. So, I finally decided to buy my first real camera at the end of the Summer of 2021 and started practicing.

I took a few day trips to capture shots in different areas and figure out the style of photography that I liked. Once I felt more comfortable, I decided that my hobby would make a great side business, and then PhotoXO Studios was created. I had help from a few friends to create my website and logo, and then I started promoting my business on social media. I’ve booked a few sessions and have continued building my portfolio throughout 2022. I’ve had a lot of fun!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m still getting used to posting about my business regularly on social media but I think I’m finally getting the hang of it. I definitely wouldn’t say that it’s been easy, but I have done better than I expected during my first year. Every photographer does certain things differently and it’s important to remember that there will be clients who book with me for that very reason.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about PhotoXO Studios?
I’m a photographer and PhotoXO Studios is very special to me. I specialize in Lifestyle, Family, and Landscape photography, but I’m best known for capturing great candid shots. I have the best time during my client’s sessions because I truly love what I do. Please visit photoxostudios.com to view my portfolio and for all booking inquiries. My prices are great and you receive your edited photos within one week after your session! You can also follow me on IG @photoxostudios.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I always treat people with respect and I want all of my clients to feel comfortable. Many people start to tense up once a camera is pointing directly at them if they aren’t used to having their picture taken, and I can always tell the difference between a fake and a genuine smile. It’s my job to remind them to try and relax and just have fun with it.
