Today we’d like to introduce you to Rich Hobaugh.
Hi Rich, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The story begins in 2014 as I was a health enthusiast at The Vitamin Shoppe and worked my way to an Assistant Store Manager through my studies and hard work at Vitamin University. After a year I served in the military as an Airborne Army Soldier helping keep my team the strongest and fittest in our brigade. Then in 2019, I was a head trainer at a large commercial facility in Fort Worth, Texas called Fitness Connection. I helped manage the sales and training teams. I also was in charge of all safety in the gym making sure every member was lifting and using equipment properly. In 2020 the world paused for Covid 19. I was forced to make a shift. That’s when BRAVE Athletic Training began. We were on a mission to serve those who needed it in our countries hardest time in years. We moved to Dallas, Texas where we were still able to operate business. Now we work with athletes, high ranking executives and business owner’s. We strive to help even the best become better.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles start with COVID-19. This illness had scared everyone from the gym, but also scared everyone into paying attention to their health. Also false advertisements of the “perfect” body. Now we must navigate pharmaceutical drugs like GLP one and the risks that come along with doing these types of things.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in longevity through the three critical factors of lifespan. Those categories include Training, Nutrition and Recovery. Each category includes a specific requirements ranging from training loads, to healthy eating habits, to proper sleep and stress management. We offer personal training, nutrition coaching and recovery services. These are the most effective methods that have been scientifically proven to help improve lifespan.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
No Risk, No reward. I stepped away from a career job and started my own business. Going from steady income to hopefully earning your income through the ups and downs of business. Risk is the only way to success but risk management is essential in the beginning stages so you don’t get burnt out.
