Today we’d like to introduce you to Sachien Ravi
Sachien, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Towards the beginning of Sophomore year at Imagine International Academy of North Texas, my partner Gavin and I decided to learn more about Web Design as a part of our “personal project,” a project that lasts the entirety of the Sophomore year and focuses anything that students may be interested or passionate about and make a difference in the community. To learn Web Design, we went through many online courses and did many practice projects until each of us were ready to begin our final projects. I chose to make a Skin-Gut Health connection blog that focused on the impacts of your guy health and the impacts it has on your skin whilst Gavin created a website for his Dad’s opening coffee shop, Country Charm Coffee.
We both learned a lot about website design through this project and decided to continue this passion outside of school. We realized we enjoyed the process and results that we were both able to achieve. With this, we also thought that by doing websites we could make our own jobs for ourselves and most likely even make more than the available jobs. After some initial struggle, Gavin discovered his barber’s poor experiences with his previous web designer which lead to us partnering with our first official client. We worked tirelessly to get it right and it showed as he was extremely satisfied and referred us to multiple customers of his. Through these referrals and the referrals from these referrals, we grew our initial idea to a baby company.
As we grew, we also began adding more services upon request from our clients. This began with Search Engine Optimization, and later Social Media Marketing. With the addition of these new services/departments, we quickly realized we were going to need employees to help us consistently provide a quality service to our clients and oncoming clients at the time. We realized the best candidates were our friends who were already interested in what we were doing and had shown intrigue and initiative into learning the skills and getting to work. With this, we began our interning process to see who would be best, this ended up being teaching and testing six friends, ending up with three hired employees.
Going into business, we knew at some point we wanted to niche down. After the additional manpower, training, and the success of our new services, we decided it was time to niche down and rebrand the company. After careful consideration, research, and interviewing local digital solutions experts, we decided that Solar would be our niche. This took us to today, where we now work with multiple solar companies to help redesign their websites, increase their Google search rankings, and drive sales with social media marketing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Even in the beginning, we had to let go of a partner. We faced the issue of not being taken seriously due to our age and not having any proof to show for our work. There has been two distinct points where we were very close to having no money to pay for the next month’s software costs. It was also difficult to set up our legalities to ensure we are a protected entity, as an LLC with official banking and binding contracts for our clients, especially as two minors needing to be cosigned from our parents.
As you know, we’re big fans of Hyperion Digital Solutions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Hyperion Digital Solutions maximizes solar companies’ digital presence to draw in more business. We do this through completely custom Webflow websites which prioritize integrated software and features to increase lead capture and company image, using Search Engine Optimization techniques and best practices to boost site rankings and create additional site content, and run effective Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns to get our client get in front of as many qualified leads as possible. We are known for our constant communication, relentless drive to fully satisfy the client’s needs and maximize their ROI, and a unique feeling of working with an authentic, small, real, local company. This feeling of doing good business with a transparent, small, and driven company alongside our results in working with a multitude of clients sets us apart from the many other large digital solutions companies that all toss your work to the side and charge egregious amounts for little to no ROI.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
For our day-to-day software as a team, we love Webflow, Figma, Canva, and Ubersuggest.
On an organizational level, we use Google Meets, Google Workspace, Google Calendar(s), and Calendly to manage all of our meeting and resources within our team and with clients.
On personal levels, we both use Audible, read books, and consume educational content from renowned business channels. Some key books we’ve both read for life have been “Can’t Hurt Me” by David Goggins and “48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene. For business, notable titles have been “$100M Offers” and “$100M Leads”, both by Alex Hormozi, “The Motive” by Patrick M. Lencioni, “Ready, Fire, Aim” by Michael Masterson, “Pre-Suasion” by Robert B. Cialdini, and “The Bezos Letters” by Steve Anderson.
