Community Highlights: Meet Schalee Sanchez of Schalee Sanchez LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Schalee Sanchez.

Hi Schalee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
What got me where I am today hasn’t been a glamorous journey.

I graduated from high school with a class of sixteen in a town of three hundred people. Growing up there gave me a deep appreciation for just how much has unfolded since then. At the time, I had no interest in traveling outside the United States and cleverly avoided foreign language classes, convinced there was no real need to know anything other than English. But God has a way of expanding our lives far beyond what we imagine for ourselves.

At nineteen, I traveled to Europe for the first time. In the years that followed, I visited Russia and Uganda. Each experience broadened my perspective and ignited a deep desire for continual learning. At twenty-four, I moved to Honduras, where I helped a local pastor with a church plant while teaching first and second graders at a bilingual school. Over the next decade, I married, had four remarkable children, lived in El Salvador, Peru, and Colombia, became fluent in Spanish, and eventually returned to Dallas in 2014.

The eighteen years I spent as a stay-at-home mom are deeply cherished because of the love I have for my children. At the same time, that season included profound hardship due to an abusive marriage. Finding the courage to leave was made possible through a deeply supportive group of friends, and it remains one of the most difficult—and life-giving—decisions I have ever made.

From that point forward, my motivation became clear: to create the healthiest, most grounded life possible for my children. That work had to begin with me. Through therapy, coaching, prayer, and the experience of extravagant love, healing became not only possible but transformative. As that healing took root, I found myself able to invite others into lives marked by wholeness, courage, and hope.

Today, I lead my own company, speak with organizations and teams, host meaningful conversations through my podcast, and continue building a life that values courage, compassion, and connection. I’m learning, growing, and wildly excited about the road ahead. The best is yet to come!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, and I’ve learned that growth rarely is.

One of the biggest struggles was learning how to begin again after seasons that demanded survival rather than dreaming. Leaving an abusive marriage required courage, but rebuilding life afterward required patience, humility, and a willingness to face my own healing honestly. There were moments when progress felt slow and invisible, and when trusting myself again was harder than taking the first brave step.

Another challenge was navigating transition later in life. Starting over professionally after nearly two decades as a stay-at-home mom meant learning new skills, finding my voice, and stepping into unfamiliar spaces without a clear roadmap. There were seasons marked by self-doubt, financial uncertainty, and moments of profound loneliness, even while being surrounded by people who loved and supported me. Letting go, even when it was necessary, was deeply uncomfortable.

I’ve come to see growth less as a straight path and more as a dance to be embraced, full of side-steps, unexpected turns, and graceful twists. Learning to move with those rhythms, rather than resist them, has been essential.

What carried me through those struggles was a combination of community, faith, and a commitment to doing the internal work. Over time, I learned that difficulty doesn’t mean failure. It often means transformation is underway.

Looking back, I wouldn’t erase the challenges. They shaped my resilience, clarified my values, and taught me how to move forward with courage and compassion, even when the path isn’t smooth.

We’ve been impressed with Schalee Sanchez LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work centers on helping people know their true worth and empowering them to excel.

Through my company, I speak with teams, leaders, and individuals who want to lead in a way that is both effective and deeply human. I specialize in conversations around leadership, resilience, personal growth, and alignment, helping people strengthen self-awareness and grow without ego getting in the way.

My book, The Humility You Want and the World Needs, is not merely another self-help book. It is an invitation into a journey of daily transformation. As one reader shared, “A profound and timely reminder that true strength lies in grounded confidence, The Humility You Want and The World Needs is a refreshing guidebook for today’s ego-driven culture. It’s an essential read for anyone looking to lead with transparency and grace to impact others.”

One of the most joyful parts of my work is Flex With Purpose, my podcast and conversation space where I get to engage with people who are living boldly, leading authentically, and letting humility guide their impact. These conversations are honest, energizing, and deeply meaningful, offering listeners real stories of growth, resilience, and purpose from people who are actively doing the work in their own lives and communities.

I’m most grateful for the way the brand has grown organically through trust and connection. Whether through speaking engagements, my podcast, or my writing, the focus has always been on creating meaningful impact. People who resonate with this work are capable, driven, and thoughtful, yet ready for a way of leading that values the integration of humility and ambition.

This brand exists to support growth that is honest, grounded, and sustainable. It’s for those who want to lead well, live fully, and allow humility to guide how they show up in their work, relationships, and lives.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
The advice I would offer is this: believe in yourself. You are far more capable than you think. At the beginning, when everything is new, it’s easy to feel frustrated or discouraged. Learning something for the first time often feels awkward and inefficient, and that can tempt you to quit too soon. Growth is gradual. The more you show up and practice, the more confident and capable you become. What feels difficult today will feel natural with time.

The second thing I would emphasize is patience with the process. We tend to underestimate what consistent effort can do over time. Progress doesn’t usually happen in dramatic leaps, but through steady, often unseen steps. Trust that those small steps are adding up, even when it doesn’t feel like it yet.

And finally, be intentional about what and who you allow to influence you. You will become shaped by the voices you listen to, the books you read, and the people you spend time with. Choose influences that challenge you, encourage growth, and remind you of your worth. Surround yourself with people who speak truth, not fear, into your journey.

Growth unfolds beautifully when we give ourselves permission to learn, to be imperfect, and to keep going.
