Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaina Kaur. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my permanent makeup (PMU) journey in 2021. I have always been fascinated by the world of esthetics, and cosmetics. As a teenager, I suffered from severe acne that took years to treat and left deep acne scars. It took me a long time to heal from them. Having been through this journey, I am inspired to help others heal and feel the best of themselves. I chose to follow my passion and learn PMU. Now I offer brow beauty bar from brow lift, clean up, to powder brows.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not! My journey has recently begun and has been full of challenges especially due to COVID. As a small business owner, it is challenging to keep up with costs and find clients. I am learning about different platforms and ways to market my craft.

Shaina’s Brow Bar offers a full beauty bar from fixing your eyebrows to doing your facials. I specialize in Powder brows (Ombre), microshading eyebrows, brow lift (lamination), brow tinting, brow waxing, and facials. Shaina’s Brow Bar also offers tools for others in this industry. It is a place where ideas are shared, and problems are fixed.

I am proud to see what permanent makeup can do. A lot of people suffer from health conditions that may affect their hair growth or skin conditions. PMU can give them brows and a reason to smile and feel secure.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
PMU industry has gained popularity over the years and will continue this path. This industry will bring solutions for other skin issues such as scars, hyperpigmentation, etc.
