Today we’d like to introduce you to Shante Wesley.
Hi Shante, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Born in Berlin, Germany raised in San Antonio Texas, I grew up with very driven parents who instilled good work ethic and values that I know got me where I am today. My father was an entrepreneur, always believing in multiple incomes himself he pushed me to do the same. Not only did he began managing my singing career he taught me the importance of leaving a legacy. In 2012 I began working for a healthcare company in which I would call a blessing. I learned so much and made so many great connections, one at which introduced me to a better way a living. A fellow co-worker at the time seen that I was always running on empty and offered me a tea that not only was extremely low in sugar but burned calories as well. I was so impressed with how I was feeling and in a short matter of time, looking, I wanted in. It was then when I became a health coach and an independent Herbalife distributor. I lost over 40 pounds while taking the products and gained so much confidence. It was not only my dream but my goal to help other individuals do the same. In 2020 my employer at the time did a massive layoff due to COVID 19 and budget cuts. Even though this was a complete shift for me financially and emotionally I was determined to get back on my feet. This is where having so many side jobs paid off. I moved to Dallas, Texas completely out of my comfort zone, not only did I become more serious about my health, I became more serious in my Herbalife business. Fast forward to now! In 2022 I opened my first health and smoothie shop. I took something that was supposed to be a side business and made it into my main income. I picked myself up from a completely low state of mind and proved that with hard work any goal can be reached. I am still reaching for the stars even with my father no longer living. I know he is still watching over me. My support system is still stronger than ever and my shop All-Star nutrition is open and thriving ready to welcome to everyone who enters my doors one cup at a time.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It was so difficult opening without any loans and depending solely my saving. While trying to open I had so many people in my business circle who told me not to open because it didn’t meet their standards. From passing out flyers alone to learning new marketing strategies, I can say it has not been a smooth journey.
We’ve been impressed with All-Star Nutrition, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a proud independent distributor of Herbalife Nutrition. Founded by Mark R Hughes in 1980. Herbalife has changed tremendous lives and still until this day provides the best products including meal replacements and supplements to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. Although you can find a tremendous amount of nutrition clubs like All-Star Nutrition, what sets my club personally apart from the others is the love I have for people. Every customer that is greeted will feel at home and will leave learning something they did not know before. I am proud to be a part of a brand that not only gives the community a product to help them achieve their goals independently but provides multiple streams of income for anyone looking to earn extra income.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The more I continually grow I have noticed that opening a shop in a new city from which I have grown up in was completely a risk. Giving up a large portion of my savings was a risk. Not knowing how my nutrition shop would perform financially was a scary thought, however, if you don’t take the leap of faith, one will never know how far they could truly get. I wholeheartedly believe that risk is to be taken. No matter the outcome good or bad the blessing is in the lesson. Each time we step out of our comfort zone we are trusting the process. Faith over fear.
