Sierra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For sure. My story is one of pain, healing, and purpose. I come from a background of trauma, abuse, abandonment, rejection, real deep wounds that had me questioning my worth and identity for years. But even in all of that, God was still writing my story. I wasn’t just surviving, I was being shaped.
I reached a point where I got tired of pretending to be okay. Healing became a choice, and so did purpose. I started Faithfully Sierra to be the space I needed when I was at my lowest. A space for women who’ve been through the fire but are still called and chosen.
Since then, I’ve launched my Breakthrough Mentoring program, released a line of anointed oils called The Anointed Essence, and most recently, I published my first book, Beneath The Magnolia’s Bloom. It’s a faith-filled journey through childhood trauma, healing, and rediscovering purpose, raw, real, and rooted in God.
Everything I do now is about helping women see they’re not defined by their past but by God’s promise over their life. Whether it’s mentoring, my book, or showing up online, I’m here to walk with women from brokenness to breakthrough. This is my calling, and I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Healing is messy. Purpose is uncomfortable. And walking in your calling? That comes with spiritual warfare, doubt, and a whole lot of pruning.
I’ve had to battle imposter syndrome heavy, feeling like I wasn’t qualified to lead or speak because of my past. I’ve also had to grieve relationships I thought were forever, break free from generational patterns, and let God strip me of everything that wasn’t rooted in Him.
There were seasons I was pouring into others while secretly feeling empty myself. Times I launched things with no support. Times I was broke, heartbroken, or just exhausted. But I kept going because I knew this wasn’t just about me, this was legacy work.
Through every struggle, God was stretching me, building my faith, and reminding me that obedience > comfort. So no, it hasn’t been smooth… but it’s been necessary. And every tear, every test, every setback was preparation for where I am now.
