Community Highlights: Meet Stephanie Michelle of Good Health Geek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Michelle.

Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Good Health Geek was created to address a persistent disconnect between people and their health. There’s no shortage of information, but very little of it is absorbed, retained, or applied in daily life. Most wellness efforts fail because they rely on people to self-educate in an environment that already competes for their attention.

The company was built around a different premise: when health education is clear, practical, and delivered in a structured setting, people actually engage with it. By working directly with organizations, Good Health Geek places foundational health understanding into the workday rather than leaving it as an optional or overwhelming afterthought.

Today, the company focuses on science-grounded education that helps people understand how core systems — digestion, stress response, and brain function, directly affect focus, stamina, decision-making, and emotional regulation at work. The goal isn’t lifestyle overhauls or compliance, but reducing preventable fatigue, brain fog, and missed days by giving people the clarity to make better choices that support safety, consistency, and performance.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most purpose-built companies, the path hasn’t been perfectly linear, but it has been very intentional. Building Good Health Geek required careful testing, refining the message, the delivery, and the structure to make sure it actually works in real organizational settings.

One of the main learning curves was finding the right balance between accuracy and accessibility. Health education only works when people can engage with it quickly and apply it without friction, so the company evolved through thoughtful iteration rather than trial and error.

Another area of growth has been timing and alignment. As more organizations recognize the connection between health, safety, and performance, the model has continued to sharpen and scale in response.

Overall, every adjustment strengthened the company. The process clarified the mission, improved adoption, and reinforced the importance of meeting people where they are with practical, respectful solutions.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Good Health Geek is a health education company focused on improving focus, safety, and consistency in the workplace by helping people understand the biological factors that influence how they feel and perform day to day. Our core 2026 offering is a program called Chemistry At Work, designed to make foundational health understanding practical, accessible, and relevant in real work environments.

Chemistry At Work is designed to improve workplace safety and reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, helping employees show up more focused, consistent, and capable in their roles.

Chemistry At Work combines structured, visual-based education with individualized testing that is included for every participant. The testing component provides clear, concise information that reflects each person’s unique biology rather than generalized recommendations. In addition, comprehensive lab testing is available through our partner, NutriGreene, utilizing established clinical laboratories such as Quest Diagnostics. All individual results remain private and are never shared with employers.

What sets Good Health Geek apart is how education and individualized data work together. Information is delivered through visual learning methods that improve comprehension and retention, helping people understand how digestion, stress response, and brain function affect focus, stamina, decision-making, and emotional regulation at work. Testing provides personalized insight, and participants have access to dietitian support through NutriGreene to help them understand their results and make informed, appropriate adjustments based on their individual needs.

The emphasis isn’t on tracking, dieting, or lifestyle overhauls. It’s on clarity, understanding what matters for each person and having credible support to apply that information responsibly.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the integrity of the model. Good Health Geek prioritizes education, privacy, and autonomy while giving organizations a practical way to support safer, steadier performance. Chemistry At Work is designed to reduce preventable fatigue, brain fog, and missed days at work, while creating understanding that naturally carries into life beyond the workplace as well.

Chemistry At Work is a clear, practical health education solution designed to help employees feel better and perform more consistently, without adding complexity. The program is delivered through four straightforward components:

1. A one-hour educational video session focused on nutrition chemistry and how it influences energy, focus, and mood

2. A private, at-home nutrition screen provided through 5Strands

3. The Chemistry At Work companion guide, reinforcing key concepts and practical takeaways

4. Access to dietitian support through the NutriGreene network, offering personalized guidance to help individuals apply what they learn

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really think in terms of luck. What people often call luck usually comes down to preparation, timing, and choices made consistently over time. In building Good Health Geek, progress has come from paying attention, adjusting when something isn’t working, and being willing to refine the model until it fits the real world.

There have certainly been moments of good timing and moments of challenge, but none of them happened in isolation. Each outcome was shaped by decisions, relationships, and persistence rather than chance. That perspective has been grounding as a founder. It keeps the focus on what can be controlled, learned, and improved.
