Hi Tahmina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been interested in starting a Photo Booth business for several years. It’s something that’s been on my mind for a while. When I met my husband about six years ago, I shared the idea with him and he was immediately on board. At the time, we were living in New York City, both working full-time, and I was also pursuing my master’s degree. Between balancing our careers, newly married life and school, we realized it would be tough to start a side business then, so we decided to put the idea on hold. A few years later, we moved to Dallas, and after settling in, we felt it was finally the right time to bring our vision to life. That’s how Spark Booths started! It’s only been a few months since we officially started, but it’s already been such a fun and rewarding journey. We’ve had the opportunity to do everything from weddings and corporate events to a brand launch and even a major Texas festival recently. Seeing people enjoy the experience and capture memories through our booth has been the best part.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy since my husband and I work full-time outside of Spark Booths. It’s just the two of us running Spark Booths, so we handle everything ourselves, from accounting and ordering supplies to designing templates and actually running events. There’s so much that goes on behind the scene that people don’t see. But we’re learning as we go and still figuring things out as a new business.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Spark Booths, we create fun and memorable photo booth experiences for all kinds of events such as weddings, corporate parties, birthdays and brand launches. We put a lot of thought into what kind of booth we would want if we were hiring one ourselves. We wanted our booth to feel high-end and deliver premium quality so we chose a photo booth that is equipped with a professional DSLR camera. We love creating a welcoming and fun experience that everyone of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy and remember. Alongside our photo booth services, we offer a variety of party supplies such as a fog machine, confetti launcher and custom LED neon signs to make event planning easier.
